Honestly,.I had my doubts about this indigo. I've tried Lush and that did not work at all.This is phenomenal!! I used henna first (my mistake) my silvers turned bronze. LolMy hair is back to it's natural color and no chemicals.!I'm so allergic to regular hair dyes and manic panic discontinued the black color I have been using for years.I most definitely recommend this indigo.

I tried two-step process. First day used a henna hair pack then washed my hair with only water. I made henna pack with henna powder, fresh lime juice, black tea and water. I mixed the henna hair pack previous night in a cast iron wok and let the hennan release colour overnight in the wok. I applied henna pack the next morning on my hair and let it dry on my hair for 5 hours. Then I washed it with plain water and no shampoo. No shampoo as shampoo will strip the colour.
The second day, did an indigo hair pack. The results are great if you add 3 pinch of table salt, 1/2 freshly squeezed lime juice and water to the indigo powder. Unlike henna, you have to apply the indigo hair pack as soon as it is mixed. The indigo pack has to be applied as soon as the paste is mixed as otherwise it won't be effective. Apply the hair pack and let it dry on hair for 4-5 hours. Then, wash with water and no shampoo.
I usually have allergic reaction to Indigo...contact dermititis but, so far no sign of a reaction. It's been 3 days since I did the above process.
