I was really happy that I was able to find the complete set of this show as it's always been one of my favourites. Each episode had a combination of drama, comedy and thought, smartly presented through the coming-of-age perspective of a teenager growing up in the late sixties and early seventies--a carefully-selected time period to portray as there were many social and political issues shaping society. Still, despite the influence of change this could have on a teenager, the lessons learned and the emotions expressed rang true each time you heard them, and still have relevance today. It's different watching the show as an adult vs. a kid because now I can actually go back in my own memories to reflect on similar situations as they happened. This is probably the best value of this show---the ability to see parallels in mental and emotional growth in the character's lives mapped against my own.

Loved this show the first time around and I'm enjoying it again. Brings back memories of my own childhood... days of innocence and wonder. Life wasn't perfect but it was safer and freer for us kids. I feel sorry for kids today, with helicopter parenting and dangers lurking everywhere, and advertising that sexualizes kids and forces them to grow up too soon. Not to mention either substandard education or over-competitiveness that stresses out elementary school kids. Get this show, relax and enjoy...

I was born 1982 got the tail end of this series. My son 13 lives growijg up series like whimpy kid. Still will watch a good cartoon show. Hes my old school 13 not new age so I thought at most he would appreciate this series and hey it was before me anyway. He binged that. Hes never ever binged a series the whole way. Big score. Great for preteen boys. Only back drop it makes you miss your simple days. We were so lucky.
