My washing machine (High Efficiency) is shared with multiple tenants in the home. It doesn’t show visible signs of dirt or debris in the barrel but it did have an odd, foul smelling stench and these cleaning tablets really make sure my machine smells great! I personally use them twice a month as directed with the cleaning function on my machine. For a stronger clean I have put in two tablets together but I don’t suggest using more than two tablets per month. You can get even more use out of it if you use them once a month. I did not purchase this for mold or mildew on the washing machine rim, but if you are hoping that this tablet will reach those areas, I would not suggest it. I also frequently drain excess water from my washing machine.

- meant for inside tub/barrel, doesn’t clean door or rim (not that it’s supposed to)
