Good but...
It worked well and did the job with no leaks or issues at all in the process of adding the refrigerant. But the canister recepticle is not threaded right.

The charge hose worked as advertised.... I wish the hoses were a couple of inches longer on both ends...it also would have been nice if the fitting that pierces the can would swivel as most cans need to be turned upside down and with the way it is sometimes the gauge is upside down... lol...but other than that it works well.

I ordered this ac recharge gauge/hose, but was sent a dirty and used Red-tek recharge hose. Haven't tested the gauge yet, but I am quite curious as to how I've received a used and dirty item. I'm not unhappy that I received a name branded hose as Red-tek should be better quality than the no-name brand I purchased, I'm just hoping this used hose works.

I was hoping to use this instrument to top up my 2017 Honda Civic AC with refrigerant. As it turned out, neither this kit or 134 refrigerant are compatible with the Civic AC system although it will be useful for my second vehicle.

Works like it's supposed to.

It does the job and does it well. I didn't have any issues with the product or with shipping and packaging. Definitely cheaper to buy this and refill the refrigerant yourself than to take it somewhere and have it done. If you don't know how to refill the refrigerant in your vehicle, buy this, then YouTube it. It saves a lot of time and money.

I didn't have high hopes for this product. It seemed like typical Chinese stuff. I guess it is, but it works--and works well.
The gauge is useless--but it works. I'll explain. When you fill your car's AC system, there is either enough refrigerant in it for some to be liquid, or there isn't. If there's not, any gauge you attach will read lower than expected. If there's enough refrigerant added that some of it is liquid, any gauge you attach will read the same, regardless of how much more refrigerant you add. It isn't adding any more pressure at this point; additional refrigerant is simply being forced in as more liquid. Any gauge will read the same whether there's 1 drop of liquid refrigerant in the line, or 99.9% of the line is liquid refrigerant.
If you're going to add refrigerant, the only safe way to do this is by removing all the existing refrigerant in the system first. You have to add it by weight, not by reading a chintzy pressure gauge. Your car should have a label under the hood telling you how much refrigerant it requires. Have an auto shop remove and recycle the remaining refrigerant in the system, then you're starting from zero, and not some unknown quantity. Put as much refrigerant as is called for, and no more. There's a little room for error, but significantly too much refrigerant will destroy your compressor.
Sorry for the novel, but people always seem to think that more refrigerant is better, and means colder air. It doesn't. Read and follow the label on the car, or find out how much it needs on the internet.
The device works great. I used it several times, but have since upgraded to an AC manifold system.

Works great!

This tool worked great for me. I'm used to those hose that you get from auto zone or advance stores. This works so much better. The gauge is fine but I usually take the temperature of the air from the vent to know when enough Freon is enough. Highly recommend.
