From the manufacturer
-
12-Feet of Reach
Thanks to the telescoping shaft you can leave the ladder in the garage and still reach the tops of tall shrubs and tree branches.
-
10-Position Adjustable Head
So you can pick the best angle of attack to cut from, and handle shrubs of all shapes and sizes.
-
180° Rotating Rear Handle
The customization continues! Cut straight on or rotate the whole tool and pole without having to contort your body into uncomfortable poses.
-
Dual Blades
20 inches of dual-action, hardened steel blades slice everything twice. Doubling-up to make sure every twig and leaf is caught, for the flattest hedge tops and the tidiest trees in the neighborhood.
-
Versatility
Whether trimming up high or down closer to the ground, the adjustable features on this pole trimmer let you cut from the angles that work for you.
Lightweight Design
At only 7.6 lbs you can hold this trimmer up high or out far in front of you for as long as you need to. And without a cord to get tangled up in you’re free to trim where and how you please.
Dual-Action Cutting Blades
The blades cut twice. Once forward, and then back again to catch those leaves and branches a second time, for quick, clean cuts. And because they cut so cleanly, so quickly (1340 revs/min), there is less vibration that makes it back to the user’s hands, so this trimmer is more comfortable to use.

Product description
Sure, it’s easy to see when your hedges are getting a little shaggy, but how about your trees? The Worx 20V 2-in-1 Attachment-Capable Hedge Trimmer will clean up every bush, shrub, tree, and hedge on your property. Dual-action blades cut everything twice, once forward, and once back, working at 1340 revs/min. And all that action gives you neat, clean cuts. The extendable pole attachment is the greatest feature, though. You can leave the ladder in the garage and still add about 12 feet to your reach. It’s the much safer way to trim your trees. And once it’s up there, the pole handle has an on/off switch right on the grip, so you can turn it on and shut it off without having to bring it back down. This tool is cordless, so you don’t have to worry about getting snagged on every branch and obstacle in your yard. The included 2.0 Ah battery and charger will keep your trimmer powered up and ready to go. This model also comes with a blade sheath, which makes it safer to store and significantly extends the life of your tool. And if you decide later on that your trees need some branches to come down, too, you can always get the Worx Chainsaw Head Attachment that is designed for this pole.

The price is reasonable and the trimmer should be fine if you intend to maintain a bush height of approx 5-6 feet. Also, the battery aspect permits me to go to trim at the back of our acreage.
Give it a try, you have nothing to lose.
Some of the plastics fell a little light duty but given the number of times I will use this tool, I don’t think this will be an issue.
This is not your 75 yr old Poppa's bush trimmer. Unless he's young for his age, and can pop zits on his face by doing arm curls.
It's heavy, for starters. Even with the large amount of ABS holding it together, it's hefty.
Second, when I folded the head over, my forearms were quick to let me know this position wasn't going to last.
It became obnoxious to work with.
Third: The design of the safety lock out. If you lose your grip in any way, the very light, tactile pull trigger will disconnect.
Like: sheer cutting power and battery life.
I took down about 25 foot of interweaving, stiff and dead creeping brush, about 6 foot high and easily a foot in density. There was some see-saw back n forth, but it hugged it's way through well enough.
But I was dead tired by the end of it.
If this machine was a little lighter, with more rearward bias, it'd be 4 stars, maybe 5

I chose this brand because I already had a couple of old Worx batteries from a 6 year old lawn trimmer. The batteries are the same although they've been updated in their labeling a bit. The charger is significantly different, which is good, because that old wall wart charger took a long time to charge a battery. I was a bit worried because my lawn trimmer would go through batteries pretty quick, and I'm still not sure this trimmer would work well with only one battery. One battery was enough for my testing, but I wouldn't expect it to last more than 30 minutes with constant trimming however.
Honestly, next to my "Brand X" 18V cordless hedge trimmer, this Worx looks and sounds a little underpowered. Of course the "Brand X" is a hand trimmer, and not on a pole. The pole version of that brand's trimmer may be lighter duty as well. The Worx did OK actually cutting, but just looking at it, I can see that it would have its limitations. The trim head is easy to adjust and goes from 90 degrees down to 45 degrees up (135 degree range). The plastic "scabbard" has a mounting hole for the wall so you can use it to hang the trimmer head while not in use. I guess you hang the pole on a hook then. I didn't see anything in the box for hanging that.
I agree with what I read in other reviews. It does get heavy after a while, and initially the pole on mine wouldn't stay extended either. I was able to tighten it up with a screwdriver and a allen wrench. If you over tighten it (like I did), you won't be able to move the orange release lever, but after loosening it enough to work the lever, it still was able to grip the pole tightly and not move while in use. I also agree that a short handle attachment to make this a light duty hand trimmer would have been very nice. It may be a bit underpowered to use as hand trimmer, but it is notably lighter than my "Brand X", and I think it would have made a nice light trimmer (light duty and light weight). Also as others have said, there is no grab handle, which is a real head scratcher since the grass timmer has an adjustable grab handle and it is not nearly as long. The back handle does rotate, but I found no use for that. It was easier just to rotate my grip.
One thing I didn't like about this trimmer that I didn't see mentioned much is that the trigger can get hung up where it needs a more grip strength to keep it pressed than I would like. Overall though, its pretty nice and got the job done.
