Battery life, I'd say 6-7 hours or more with regular use and low brightness.
Screen quality in comparison to my S7 tablet which has a ridiculous screen is decent. The colors are alright but won't pop or anything. It does the job but if you need a better screen maybe opt for a macbook as the M1 chips are really good.
Touch screen in comparison to my S7 tablet, I'd say the S7 is as smooth and as close as you can get to normal handwriting with its far superior screen glass, pen and screen refresh rate. I have used both for photoshop while testing out the pen in making masks. Using the S7 for masking in PS was a smoother experience HOWEVER using the asus pen and screen was still very usable. The responsiveness is a bit more sluggish in comparison to the tablet and the harder tip of the Asus pen makes for a more abbrasive experience but I for one don't really see it hindering my life. This is why Im selling my S7 as the benefits from the better pen and screen are vastly outweighed by the fact that the Vivobook is an actual PC and its still good. Overall, having the touch screen makes masking and anything needing some semblance of accuracy 100x easier than using a mouse (in pic that took me 10 min while a mouse would have taken me 45+). Im sure Wacom tablets are amazing but if you're trying to simplify your life this will do. Also if you're using a monitor, the vivobook just becomes one gigantic wacom anyways (just not as accurate or sensitive).
RAM Upgrade: Yes you can do it, its super easy to do as it took me 15 minutes. Unscrewing and screwing the casing was the longest part. I bought 16gb 3200mhz card off amazon and it gave me 20gb total which is more than futureproof.
Build quality:
I come from using an old zenbook from 2012, one of the first models and this is 1000% better quality. the keybed barely has any bend. The mouse pad is much more solid as well and more responsive but not Apple level. Only pain in the a55 is that the directional arrows are pushed a bit inward due to the Fn key at the bottom right which takes some getting used to. The only thing my old zenbook had better was that the screen was matte but then again it was not touch.
Overall this is a solid laptop and Id assume the touch responsiveness may and can be improved with future firmware updates but so far not much to complain about. If you can find this on sale or 100$ off there is really no laptop that comes close performance and price wise.
Been also using it with Xboxs cloud gaming so flipping it into tablet pretty much gives me a 14in TV. It can also play FIFA 22 at decently high settings so thats another bonus.

5 months later it is over 100 CAD $ cheaper than the sale. Shop around for products in the future.
Otherwise the product is good, I can run CAD and CAM software along with simulations and HD videos across 3 monitors.
I have the unit plugged in all the time, so I haven't made much use out of the battery life, or the touchscreen function, or the flipped monitor..
