have to remove strings or loosen till almost undone. cant just slide under the strings, sticks so quickly anywhere it touches. for almost 8 dollars is WAy overpriced. should have been 2 or 3 for that price. tried to slip under loosened strings stuck in 2 spots , removed and tried again, no use. will use as template to add car pinstripe strips to mark frets, cheaper and easier.
It arrived with the bottom edge folded (as shown in the 1st picture) and unable to stick straight (as shown in 2nd photo). It's not really sticky and I had to add a tiny bit of tapes (which won't leave no residue on my violin) at the end to secure it (as shown on 3rd photo).
I didnt have to take off any strings to put it on, I just slide it under the strings. Though, on my part, I already had 2 broken strings and was about to replace them when I added the finger guide. So I don't know if that matter or not to how easy it was for me to install. Other than that, I think it's useful, if you are a beginner like me. In the end, It does what it's supposed to, which is helping you to learn where your fingers go when playing.
