It's Cheap, Because You'll Need to Pay for a Good App to Use It
This is an exceptionally inexpensive ODB scanner that does not have its own app. Buying a good ODB scanner with it's own app with full support is really quite expensive, generally over $100, and even then, you'll often have to pay more for full functionality of the app. This lets you use one of a dozen apps on iOS, so you can find the features and costs that are right for you. This requires more leg work than buying a bigger brand scanner, so if that's not your cup of tea, then you can pay more. If you don't mind doing a little hunting around to find the right option, then you can end up spending less than half the amount for the same functionality as a high priced scanner.It depends on what you're looking for. This lets me check my truck quickly and cheaply, and once I know what the error is, either do the work myself, or take it to my mechanic, but I'm not wasting $70 to have my mechanic hook it up to his diagnostic machine for 2 minutes to figure out the issue. Definitely worth the time/money investment for me.

There's a lot of seniors that don't really matter, but they all give you the same warning light. This lets me check my truck quickly and cheaply, and once I know what the error is, either do the work myself, or take it to my mechanic, but I'm not wasting $70 to have my mechanic hook it up to his diagnostic machine for 2 minutes to figure out the issue. Definitely worth the time/money investment for me.

To start, the app listed in the instructions “Torque Lite” doesn’t exist in the App Store. Many of the other apps listed are either basic use meaning you can’t read codes or cost money.
The only app I could find that even came close to remotely working is called Car Scanner. This app basically tells you the mileage and confirms the year of your car. There is no way to read it the codes.
I would recommend the manufacturer of this product remove iOS from the description or provide an app that actually works with their product.
I do not recommend this product at all. I would advise heading to your local automotive store and getting an OBD2 scan tool that is a stand alone unit not one requiring an app.

I was able to quickly pair this device to my Samsung Galaxy S22 with no issues. Instructions are very clear and the device is simple to use. I used it with OBD Fusion, which was one of the top recommended apps by the manufacturer, and found it worked great on my 07 GMC Envoy. I was able to quickly pull and clear codes, clear a Check Engine Light, and check many parameters on my vehicle in real time.
While using the app I found very little lag in immediate readouts (RPM, speed, temp, battery, etc...) and all seemed accurate.
While different apps will give you different uses of this tool the ability to diagnose your CEL as well as clear inconsequential codes has this product paying for itself after one less trip to a mechanic.

I have the vlinker fs model, but build quality is better on this the mc model.
i could not tell if there were any differences in pid connections between the two.
capabilities is dependant on app chosen and vehicle
i took it apart to look at build construction.
the clam shell is screwed in together using brass inserts.
it has 2 circuit boards.
there is no app from manufacturer, instructions give you a few to choose from playstore for android.
i used a few including torque pro and all connected to the obd 2 scanner dongle.
a very good obd scanner dongle, push button before bluetooth pairing
