Purchased the MOCHA flavour. It is DELICIOUS!!!!!My reasoning for the excellent rating is that I'm doing the 80 Day Obsession from Beachbody and I just can't justify the ridiculous cost of their inflated Beachbody Performance line of products. SO I did a lot of research on what I can use instead.I use the Vega Sport Protein Powder for my post-workout protein (red container if you're using the Portion Fix containers). I consume it roughly 45-90 minutes POST-workout. (Note: immediately after my workout, I chug down the Vega Recovery Accelerator, which is meant to be taken immediately post-workout, and THEN I use the Vega Sport Protein Powder - Vega suggests not mixing the two since they have different purposes).The reason for my 5 star rating is not just because of the amazing taste or that it mixes well, or the fact that I'm getting my protein from various healthy plant sources. It's also because I wasn't using any sort of pre or post workout supplements, and I just had water for during my workouts. I WAS eating on the Timed Nutrition schedule set up by Autumn Calabrese to compliment the 80 Day Obsession, however I was still finding myself absolutely exhausted. I have to walk almost 5k every weekday to drop and pick up my children from school, so to workout and then rush to get them was killing me. Some days I thought I wasn't going to make it home with them! So I decided to TRY the Recovery. The Vega Recovery Accelerator made a MASSIVE difference in my energy levels. And the Vega Sport Protein Powder gives me that extra bit of energy and curbs my hunger, feeds my muscles, and repairs my sore body while it holds me over until hubby gets home for dinner!As an aside, to those interested, The Vega line of drinks (Vega Sport Protein Powder, Energizer, Hydrator, and Recovery Accelerator) contains the SAME ingredients within the entire Beachbody Performance line, including the regular Shakeology. I understand that they are selling a mindset, and sometimes the "placebo" is what you need for that extra bit of confidence/push, but for me I just cannot justify the cost.All in all, I'm really impressed with this line and will continue to purchase the Recovery Accelerator and Sport Protein Powder to help me remain energized and alert post-workout.

I was concerned after reading some negative reviews. It comes in a very large plastic container that was about 3/4 full, I know this is because the fine powder settles but I still think the size of the container is a little exaggerated. It is a fine powder and mixes very well and easily in my mixer bottle. I don’t find it messy. The first time it tastes pretty good just a little funny, a little chalky with a tiny bit of an aftertaste, but after a week I find I really like the flavour, I have it with just plain oat milk. It tastes much better than the last vegan protein powder I tried and I will be buying it again. The price is good too.

I started using this maybe 8 months ago, and love it. The flavour is nice and chocolately with no medicinal tasting weirdness that I can tell. I mix a scoop in with soy milk to get a little extra protein, 36-38 grams. Since taking this shake I've felt overall a lot better day to day - more energy, physically more capable, less moody and lethargic (I had anemia for a long time before deciding to take my health more seriously). It's a night and day difference. As I've started some mid-light weight training, I've gained a good amount of muscle. I also finish the day with a Vega Protein and Greens smoothie for extra nutrients and protein. Haven't felt this good since being an omnivore some 16 years ago.

I’ve used Vega protein and specifically Vega Sport since it came out. It was by far the best tasting and most digestible of proteins, and I loved that it was a blend with a brilliant nutritional profile. Everything has changed since they were bought out by white wave then by Danone and now a hedge fund or whatever. I was a huge of fan of Brendan Brazier and all he did for vegan nutrition for sport.

The cost cutting has hit this product hard. It is now no different than just plain pea protein with all its horrible taste and indigestible … effects. I wasn’t sure if it was a one off but the newest containers confirm.

What was once a diamond among proteins is now … dirt.

I've not tried other protein powders but I've been playing with strategies to somehow ingest the recommended dose of protein so here are my two cents:

Pros: not terribly expensive & digestion-friendly. 30 grams is not an impossible amount to pack in a smoothie -- you can achieve almost the same using 10gr of protein/100 gr greek yogurt and adding 4 tbsp of peanut butter. That said, if you do that -- you'll likely feel sluggish later with your body struggling to metabolize such a protein bombshell. If you put a scoop of this (it's a huge scoop btw) in a smoothie, you shouldn't have digestion issues despite getting 30 gr of protein in one go.

Con: the taste. I cannot over-emphasize how bad this is. I drink collagen, various herbal supplements etc., with no issues at all. This fake vanilla taste and what I can only assume is an artificial sweetener, though -- this is a whole new level of disgusting. I had to give myself two pep talks to drink this up.

Overall judgment: this will get you the protein you need but kill your will to live in the process. I might re-purchase.

I recently changed my diet to a plant base one. I didn't think I was getting enough protein so I looked at several reviews for plant base protein power. I exercise daily and this one had the most protein per serving. I mix it with almond milk and add a banana maybe some blueberries. I found it thicker than meat base protein with a slight aftertaste. I put in a bit less than a full scoop then added more milk and it was perfect. I will reorder
