For a decaf product this is quite good. I did have to add cream to cover some bitterness. That saying because if the cream I didn’t need sucrose or the fake sugars that mess with your micro biome.
I wish this company would use the water method for expelling the caffeine. Much healthier.

This is a good coffee for what it is and has become one of my favorite flavored decafs. When brewing, the vanilla and hazelnut aromas smell great as the steam rises from the filling mug. The smell is actually stronger than the taste, which is of a milder version of the pleasant vanilla and hazelnut aroma. Stronger flavors would have rated this coffee 5 stars.

What would make this coffee an even stronger contender is if Van Houtte would put more coffee in the K-cup pod. I buy most of my K-cups as "bold" or "extra bold," which is simply K-cup terminology to indicate there is more coffee in the pod. This Van Houtte pod contains a smaller amount of coffee than most I buy, so I have to select a much smaller cup size to get good flavor. I think this is why some buyers have down-rated this coffee as "weak" or "flavorless." If you brew your first cup of this coffee and it tastes weak, try selecting a smaller cup setting in your machine.

For flavored decafs, I prefer this Van Houtte over the Green Mountain hazelnut decaf. But for decaf K-cups in general, my go-to coffees are still Tully's French roast or house blend. Those extra-bold pods taste great for decafs, and you get a full pod of coffee for your money.
