It might not be the very best to make 4K videos and become a Youtube star of traffic, but at this price, it does pretty much everything good.
Documentation and tutorial videos are pretty useful to program and set up the whole thing. It isn't the easiest or simplest of operations, especially considering that the cable provided for the 12v was too short to reach the outlet that is set in the back of the car's console.
Not necessarily the camera's fault, but the car's design. But still something to note. Even with an extension, the cable then gets in the way and is a bit annoying. All the little tidbits to install and program is a bit of a hurdle at first, but it isn't the end of the world.
Also note that there is very little documentation in French.
That being said, images, both night and day are pretty crisp. Surprisingly so for such a 'cheap' camera as well. Storage is adequate for the day-to-day usage over medium-range trips.
It might just be one of the best dash cams to get started and figure out if it's something you wish to use on a daily basis without shelling $500+ on some of the others.
