Updated review: I contacted the company about the issues of the dashcam and here is my feedback about it.
Response time: With in hours of contacting Viofo, someone (Lisa) reached out to me.
Attention to detail: Lisa listened to all the issues and provided proper guidance and information on the product.
Patience and professionalism: I have to say and cannot put enough words to the customer service of the company. Lisa listened and provided answer to every single question and provide solution to every single problem. I have encountered very less someone like Lisa and would give the highest possible rating to company and to her personally.
Resolution:
1- I wanted the screen to stay on all the time, done.
2- Firmware update was done with downloading firmware on the memory card but it was a custom firmware.
3- Wifi issue was resolved as firmware was updated.
4- Stopped recording issue was solved by changing micro sd card.
Overall thoughts: The way Viofo stood behind their product and are there to provide proper and reliable customer satisfaction then there is no better product than this.
I ended up keeping the product and would like to highly recommend this based on my own experience with Viofo.

Original review: I purchased this dashcam after hearing a lot of hype on YouTube. Video quality is good but extremely unreliable. I installed this dashcam about a couple of weeks ago and last night had an unfortunate incident. I was so confident that I have video proof and won’t be in any trouble. To my surprise it didn’t record at all for the whole trip.
I heard a YouTuber in a review that this dashcam tells you if it is not recording and I was excited about that feature but I guess it’s just false advertising.
There was no notification at all.
Also, what is the point of having the screen if it’s not going to stay on. It’s just dead screen all the time.
Since I installed the camera, it’s been recording fine but when it actually needed to do job, forget it.
Firmware: if firmware update (1.2) is not available to install, please stop showing the message on the app.
Wifi connection: Really really bad. After downloading each video, it just goes back to live view screen and start recording.
App: I have been using iPhone app and it’s so laggy and feel like it was made for 2010 phones.
Overall: So frustrated that I just want to send it back right now.
