In the Kindle edition, the photos are easily accessible and one can easily enlarge them and the quality remains good once enlarged. There is interesting background on the history of cordage which, when it became no longer interesting, I could skip ahead to the actual knots.
One observation is that the tying instructions offer one method and not necessarily the easiest. For example, I learned to tie the Alpine Butterfly in a dead simple fashion, easily remembered 20 years after my first introduction. The method in the book wasn't as simple but, perhaps, it shows better the actual mechanics of it.
