Less hassle, more usability!Now, check this out - besides the USB-C port, it's got a good ol' 3.5mm headphone jack! Super handy for plugging in your earphones or headphones without any adapters. With more devices going all USB-C or Bluetooth, having a wired option is a big plus in my book.The screen is pretty solid - nice colors, not too pixelated even when you zoom in. It might not be ultra-HD, but for everyday use, it does the job just fine. Plus, the viewing angles are decent, no major color shifts, so no complaints from bystanders either. I've been trying out the UMIDIGI Active T1 and it's been an absolute game-changer for my on-the-go lifestyle. Whether you're hiking, working on a construction site, or just need a tablet that can survive some rough handling, this one is for you.

This thing is built like a tank. It's waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. I’ve dropped it a couple of times and even got it wet —no issues at all. The 10,000mAh battery is a beast. I can go for a little while without needing to charge it, which is awesome for long trips or when I'm out in the field.

With an octa-core processor and 16GB of RAM (8GB real RAM + 8GB extended), it handles everything I throw at it. Whether it's browsing, streaming, or even some casual gaming, it’s all smooth. Running on Android 13, it’s got all the latest features and apps. Sure, an upgrade to Android 14 would be cool, but honestly, it's doing great with the current setup and price range.

The 2K, 11-inch display is crystal clear. Movies, games, web browsing—it all looks fantastic. The quad speakers are surprisingly good. They’re loud and clear, perfect for watching videos or listening to music.

I had and used an Umidigi device (the Umidigi Power) for some time back in 2020, and I have
always admired their dedication to creating powerful devices on a budget.
To begin, the box that this device came in was a beautiful, sleek black box with a fantastic print
of the tablet on the front. The box has all of the specifications on the back, and plenty more
information. The unboxing experience was delightful, packed extremely well, neatly and
securely. While unpacking the box, there was the instruction leaflet, the tablet, the charger and
the cable, all of which were the high quality I have come to know Umidigi by.
Taking out the tablet, it was a very hefty and rugged device, as which it of course is sold as. The
case was a tough plastic case with a place for the included passive stylus in the side. The
buttons were nice and responsive, the case was durable and rugged and the tablet looked
amazing. On the tablet was a screen protector which was underneath the factory stock one,
although only a plastic screen protector, it was still a nice inclusion.
Turning the device on, it gives a very satisfying and strong vibration, along with the wonderful
starting animation Umidigi designed into the firmware. The setup was quick and painless, taking
about 5 minutes total to complete. Using the device, immediately I could tell that the device was
a well tuned and built tablet, unlike some I have used in the past at the same price point. The
attention to detail on making a rugged, affordable tablet is a greatly appreciated thing among
many. The screen protector left a bit to be desired as it felt a little bit too resistive to touch for
me, however, removing it was not a problem and it merely peeled away without resistance.
As I was getting into using the device, I noticed a few things. The screen looked great, the
colors were clear, the pixel density was nice and there was no artifacting as far as I could tell.
The brightness of the tablet was also very good, managing to be bright enough to be seen well
even in direct light. The settings for the display do seem to be rather basic, appearing to be a
stock android array of settings, however, the extra dim mode was surely my favorite feature.
One of the videos I use to test the clarity and vibrance of a screen is a 4K video of Costa Rica,
and to say it passed would be an understatement. It performed well without stutter, vibrant
colors and a clear, smooth HDR experience.
Looking into the settings of the device, you have the standard array of android settings to
choose from. One setting quite unique to this device is the ability to set the hotkey button. The
hotkey button is an added button on the tablet itself that allows you to set different apps or
features to it, granting easy access to 3 different choices by single press, double press or hold.
The button is responsive, just like the others on the device, although the case does make
pressing the buttons a bit more difficult.
The specifications of the device are fairly standard for a budget device, however still offer an
amazing amount of performance. Sporting an 8 core cpu with a 4G modem and an integrated
gpu offers a great mix of performance and efficiency. A way that I test these specifications is by using two apps; Geekbench for running a benchmark of the cpu/gpu and Device Info HW to
check through all of the device information, as well as run various tests on the device.
The specifications were as promised, sporting the T616 processor and an 11” 2K screen, along
with quad speakers and a 10000 mAh battery capacity. It has a 10-point touch capability,
allowing use of all 10 fingers at once, of which I enjoy when using it to play piano. The speaker
tests I ran passed with flying colors as well, being a nice, vibrant sound that made use of the
quad speakers for a nice stereo experience. The screen test also did well, showing a vibrant
array of the colors it ran through, without washing them out or lacking brightness.
I primarily used this device for music and videos, having them running almost constantly
throughout this review. The battery lasted anywhere from 12-26 hours, depending on the
brightness, load and whether I was watching videos or listening to music. From empty to full, the
tablet took about two and a half hours to charge, using the full 20W capability of the included
charger and cable.
In conclusion, the Umidigi Active T1 is an amazing tablet, full of great features, wonderful user
friendliness and a budget in mind. I do highly recommend this device for those that want the
robust, rugged and long lasting experience offered. For the price, you would be hard pressed to
find an alternative.

I bought this because I wanted a robust tablet I don't need to worry about dropping, with a long battery life. It's performed better than expected and I'm glad I went with this model. The screen is great and good for watching movies and videos, which is my main use for this. It is also waterproof so I use it to listen to music in the bath (I don't submerge it just to be safe but it sits by the tub and gets splashed a lot).

Some users might find the tablet a little heavy, but I consider even this a bonus, because it gives me a slight workout for my wrists when using it. The battery lasts for days and I haven't had any crashes or glitches with this tablet after many weeks of daily use. Definitely worth the purchase even if just as a secondary or backup tablet.

La UMIDIGI Active T1 es una tablet “rugerizada” de 11 pulgadas que me ha convencido totalmente.

📱 Diseño:
Al ser rugerizada, tiene un diseño robusto y resistente, algo bastante importante en una tablet. Aguanta incluso salpicaduras e inmersiones breves en agua (en teoría). Los marcos son moderados, no sobresaliendo demasiado, y la parte trasera presenta un acabado muy chulo.

📲 Pantalla:
La pantalla FHD+ de 2000 x 1200 píxeles ofrece una buena experiencia visual, con buen brillo y ángulos muy generosos. El tacto es excelente y se puede controlar con lápiz pasivo. 11 pulgadas es un poquito más grande de lo habitual, algo que también se agradece (eso sí, ratio 5:3).

📶 Conectividad:
Tiene de todo, incluyendo GPS, Bluetooth, radio FM, y soporte para WiFi 5 y SIM 4G. Es básicamente un móvil grande, solo le falta el NFC (porque no vas a ir a comprar con una tablet, supongo…)

⚙️ Potencia y Capacidad:
El procesador de ocho núcleos es de gama media y ofrece un rendimiento fluido para apps normales y corrientes, mientras que la GPU Mali no se queda corta en juegos siempre que no sean muy exigentes. Sus 16 GB de RAM (8 de verdad y 8 extendidos) vienen muy bien para la multitarea. Para el común de los mortales, yo creo que sobra potencia, sin tirones ni problemas.

En cuanto a capacidad, los 128 GB de almacenamiento interno (ampliables hasta 1TB con tarjeta microSD) ofrecen espacio generoso para fotos, vídeos, aplicaciones, etc.

🧮 Software:
Viene con Android 13 en una versión muy limpia, sin bloatware. Conociendo a Umidigi (ya tuve un móvil suyo que me dio muy buen resultado), recibirá pocas actualizaciones, eso sí.

🤳🏻 Cámaras:
Las cámaras son más decentes tanto para fotos como para vídeo. Más allá de los megapíxeles, se comportan bien con poca luz y tienen una óptica buena para ser una tablet.

🔋 Batería:
La generosa batería de 10000 mAh asegura una duración bastante larga, con 6-8 horas de uso (según la caña que le demos, claro).

🔊 Sonido:
Tiene cuatro altavoces estéreo de muy buena calidad para una tablet de esta gama. El micrófono también graba con claridad.

En resumen, una tablet que ofrece resistencia, buen rendimiento y una pantalla estupenda a un precio asequible.
