This product is very sturdy. It is metal like others have said. Very easy to install but did take some force to attach the pieces together. The latch works perfectly on my nissan rogue 2020 vents. Somehow it does get looser over time so I have tightened it here and there but it never fell off. The magnet is very strong and your phone won't fall off during bumps and all that. Chose this item because I don't have wireless carplay and that I still wanted to charge the phone directly so Carplay would connect. Otherwise if I did have wireless carplay I would of chosen a wired car mount. I plan to buy this for my wife as well.

This mount is awesome and it works just like they say. The magnet is powerful and so is the vent clip. The problem is the screw that mounts the magnet to the vent clip comes lose regularly. I've tightened it twice and used lock-tite on the screw but it comes loose still. The mount screw is to short it should be at lease a 1/4 to 3/8' longer.

Still a great mount.
