I purchased both adapters, and tested them on my LG C1 77”As a heads up once plugged in, it will say you have no wired connection, that just means the built in Ethernet port, try Netflix or something you’ll see it’s working.The Cable Matters touched around 165-180mbps (which is about the same speeds as my wi-fi), while the UGREEN touched around 195-203mpbs. I tried different USB 2.0 ports on the TVs and same results.Both speeds are more than enough but if you have a long Ethernet cord like say going from basement to 2nd floor you’ll get reduced speeds and that extra 20-30mpbs could help out (example streaming high quality content like from Bravia Core), not to mention the UGREEN is cheaper atm, so without a doubt pick one of these up as using the built in Ethernet jack on the TV I would get around 80-95mpbs (the max on almost all TV Ethernet ports is 100mbps), so for $20-$25 to get more than double the speeds it’s worth it, even more so if your TV has a USB 3.0 port.

Anyone using their laptop in a home environment needs an adapter such as this to maximize their laptop's performance.

As laptops have evolved over the past 20 years, they have become smaller, cheaper, and much lighter, but at the cost of far fewer hardware features. One of the features long ago removed from laptops is an ethernet port. Such a port allows for an ethernet (wired) connection to the internet which in home environments is much faster and more stable than a wireless connection.

This adapter nicely solves this loss. With so few USB 3.0 ports on the modern laptop, I have this adapter plugged into my laptop's multi-port USB 3.0 hub instead, and it works fine. The Amazon webpage barely mentions it in the fine print, but this adapter works OK on Windows 11, and is plug and play on Windows 11, too. Windows 11 on my laptop even recognizes that the ethernet adapter is connected to the internet and automatically changes the laptop's internet connection to ethernet from wireless. This may well be one of the few things Windows 11 does properly.

Note that the home user has to supply the ethernet cable to run from the internet modem to this adapter when plugged into a laptop. Amazon has a wide selection of ethernet cables, one of which should be ordered at the same time as this adapter. Be sure to get a cable that is long enough!

Product arrived 1 day earlier than expected, and in surprisingly nice packaging. I was expecting like a clear plastic bag stapled shut, to be honest, and what I got was a very nice sleek and clean package with a very sturdy cardboard box inside the outer sleeve (actually took me a minute or so to pry this little cardboard box open, so packaging very secure!). Inside was the adapter, as well as some instructions and what appears to be a mini disc? No idea what this is for, as I didn't open it, but probably further instructions or information etc.
As for the product itself, it does the job! I was having such a nightmare with my Nintendo Switch, playing Splatoon 2 which is primarily an online game. It would continuously drop my wifi signal, despite my router being like 10 feet away from the Switch and it was driving me near the point of insanity (since the Switch doesn't come with an ethernet port installed). So, this little guy saved me from all that frustration! And at a fraction of the cost of what you'd pay to buy this at a retail store like Best Buy, The Source etc. AND it's USB 3.0. Most of the adapters I came across (including the legit "Switch" version from Hori) are only 2.0 so not only was this half (or less than half) the price, but it boosts my connection speed even faster. So, thank you UGREEN! Been playing for 2 days now and so far not a single connection has dropped (compared to near-constantly dropping before).

10/10 would recommend to anyone who plays online games with the Switch. And I would most definitely buy again if ever needed.
