I wanted this to store the numerous amounts of shoes we have to keep them good but we found a better use for it. We needed another storage solution in our laundry room for overflow and this rack solved that issue!
The item arrived in a sturdy well taped box. Once I opened it there was numerous parts in bags with a assembly letter on them and a instruction sheet that would make Einstein scratch his head. More on that shortly.
Once I verified we had the proper amount of parts it was time for assembly. Trying to follow the instruction sheet had both my wife and myself confused but we figured we figured it out and started to assemble. We built all the shelves with the fabric and we were ready to assemble. As we went to do so we noticed that the corner adapters would not fit properly for alignment and upon further inspection we noticed we had to pull all the shelves corner adapters off in order to get the right alignment. This could have been avoided in the instructions if they were blown up on a bigger sheet of paper as there was no proper indication as to how to assemble the corner pieces. For those that decide to purchase this you need to know that the corner adapter pieces need to have the short hole facing up. This is very important. I tried to show this in a picture. If you do not do this you will be in the same situation I ran into and will have to remove and reposition. Further observations revealed major flash (extra plastic from either dirty injection molding cavities or the cores of the actuals mold need replacing or a serious cleaning by tearing down the mold and rebuild) but did not hamper assembly, the stitching on the fabric sheets were strong but not fully joined to the seams and flaws in the fabric itself.
If you can get by the observations I made this is a great unit and has may different options for use. It took both my wife and I close 1 1/2hrs to assemble but if the instructions were better detailed it would have taken about 45 mins. That is why I knocked a star off to give it a solid 4 star rating.
