GREAT FOR THE PRICE
I've had this stand for about 8 months or so and it's still going strong. No loose parts, or breaking pieces. It extends very high (I'm 5'10.5 and it stands taller than me).The only few points is, the angles are a bit limited because you have to change the head of the stand to adjust the angles, but it is not really a flexible head to be able to move it in 360° of angles as you please.Also, sometimes when you extend it all the way, the videos seem to have some shaking in them because the tripod is not as stable but I use it for work and it seems to work well enough for me to do my thing.I really don't use the remote, but it does work.

Well, the stand is flimsy when it's fully extended, so I wouldn't trust it outside of there's wind. Apart from that, I quite like it. The press snaps on the telescoping shaft do their job really well.
The phone mount holds my Samsung S9 very firmly, and I'm confident to use the whole assembly as a selfie stick.
I do not own a GoPro, so I have no opinion on the included mount for that.
The remote is the reason for my purchase. I couldn't find any information besides it works for Android and Apple products.
I had to pair it as you would pair a set of headphones or something. The "push and hold" the Bluetooth icon on your phone to open the Bluetooth menu, and scroll to the bottom to see the remote listed in "available devices". Of course, make sure the remote's power switch is on first.
Now, the honey of the post. I wanted this to record video. Yes! It works. With your phone already in the camera mode, a quick click of the remote button takes a photo. Push and hold the button for about a second and you'll start to record video. A quick click, like taking a photo, will stop recording. And I found this out by chance too: push and hold the button on the remote. After about a second, it stays recording video, and will continue as long as you're holding the button down. The moment you release from the "push and hold", recording stops.
The battery in the remote is the very common CR2032 that you can buy pretty much anywhere that sells batteries.

This is handy tripod to have for my cell phone. It is easy to pop in my cell phone and adjust the tripod to any height. I also like that I can tilt the tripod to the angle I need. I only dislike that when I want a bottom view I can often see the tripod foot. Remote is handy to have but I didn't use it a lot. Overall, it's been a great tripod and I've had a lot of use from it.
