Why Use Tack Cloth?

Trimaco's Tack Cloth is a simple, and easy solution to ensure no particles get trapped during the priming and painting process. Paint preparation is key, otherwise it can create an uneven and messy look. Simply use the tack cloth after sanding to remove all lingering particles. Then, simply reuse the tack cloth and wipe down your product in between coats to enhance the quality of your paint job.

The "tack" part of the cloth (oily adhesive) will transfer to your hands and the painting surface. Hand soap doesn't remove it, dish soap doesn't remove it, I had to use rubbing alcohol. I'll have to do the same to the surface I was painting.

You're just trading the dust on the surface for sticky wax. Not a good trade.
