Super compact, light, comfy, side sleepers you need this
I just received this nice little piece of luxury and although I haven’t exactly tested it out outdoors I can say that it’s super simple to inflate. I’m a pretty big fella 6’3 250lbs but it took me 3 full lung breaths to inflate the pillow to the max firmness. It’s super compact, I recently got into the camping world and purchased a $4 self inflating pillow from the dollarstore here in Ontario. It was decent but I noticed it wasn’t ergonomic and it slipped and slid away from me all over in the middle of the night, you won’t get that with this puppy. It’s got a detachable elastic strap on the back that you can fit around a sleeping mat or something else of the sort or if you have a mummy bag you can keep it in the hood part. There is also tiny little nubs on the back which do add some traction. I’m personally a side sleeper and I roll throughout the night like a madman and although I haven’t tried this outdoors like I said I did of course try it out when I first opened it and was pretty impressed. There’s a bit of a groove at the bottom of the pillow that can kind of tuck into your shoulder if you’re also a side sleeper and where your head rests there’s a dip in the pillow to kind of cradle your head which is nice and actually pretty comfortable, I was honestly tempted to take a little nap. The nozzle where you inflate the pillow is pretty awesome as well, it’s got a little clickable button, once it’s clicked in it makes the pillow one way inflatable meaning you can stop between breaths to fill up the old lung bags and not risk losing the air in the pillow. If you find you’ve blown it up too much or you feel like making it a little less firm you can open the cap and kind of push the button half way down without pushing it all the way to let a little air out till it’s reached MAXIMUM FIRMNESS! I’m sure if you’re interested in buying this pillow you’ve done quit a bit of research like I have and you know a decent amount about it, I personally bought the black one for about $18 shipped which is a steal compared to some of the pricier companies and virtually the same. From what I can see so far you won’t be disappointed, it’s super affordable, it’s comfy, it’s ergonomic, it packs up insanely small if you’re into the ultralight kind of thing and you won’t lose it in the middle of the night and end up using whatever you can grab within arms length to put under your head and end up waking up with a ruined neck. Super recommended.

I just got my travel pillow and while i havent yet used it on a trek or travelling, i have tried it out on the floor at home and it seems very comfortable. The pillow is easy to inflate and deflate, is compact and lightweight. As a 5’6” woman (with average shoulder width) who is a side sleeper, the pillow feels like it will be a good height for me. I wonder if it would be high enough for a broad shouldered, side-sleeping person? Worth putting that out as a question to put to reviewers if you are broad shouldered. The pillow’s material is very soft and pleasant to have my cheek against. I dont know if the nubbles on the underside will be enough to keep the pillow from sliding around on a slippery sleeping mat but as my sleeping bag liner has a pillow pouch as i am not too worried about that.
As an added purpose, the pillow is firm enough that it will be great to use as a back support on a long plane ride.

EDIT: Originally posted this review in 2020. It's now Jan 2024, and after coming with me on every trip between the and now, this pillow is still going strong. :)

I have read and watched a ton of reviews on this product and finally decided to buy one. I haven't used it in the wild yet, but have tested it at home and it seems to live up to its name. Some of the standout features for me:
Shape - the curved shape tucks nicely into your shoulders and is very comfy. The baffles also spread the air out so you don't feel like you're sleeping on a balloon
Size - camping pillows are often tiny and this one is nice and wide. Lots of area for your head.
Sound - my current MEC camping pillow, while comfy, sounds like a plastic shopping bag. Not ideal. ALUFT 2.0 is very quiet. No annoying crinkling.
Packability - amazing. Tiny. Light.
Ease of use - you can blow it up in 4 breaths, and deflate it in a second. Valve is handy and seems well designed.
Packaging - It comes in a brown paper envelope. No single use plastic packaging. Gold star, Trekology. Well done.

We'll see how well it holds up over time. That's probably my only lingering concern as that seems to have been a problem for others.

The strap didn't do much to keep it from sliding around on my inflatable mattress, so it was a big wiggly to sleep on, which could be improved. Other than that it was such a great little pillow, easily deflated and inflated, it travelled so well, and it stores into such a small size. Didn't give me a headache from straining my neck overnight like a lot of pillows do.

I wanted a knee pillow that was a bit more adjustable than the usual ones, so thought I would try this one. It works great except for the tab that covers where you blow it up. I am constantly catching it or it rubs harshly against my leg. I can't use a pillow case on it as I toss and turn to much and I would have to specially make one that was a tight fit and I doubt even that would work. I do wish it would blow up a little higher so I could order one for a pillow for my head but I am a side sleeper and like a bit more height to help lift me up off my shoulder more. It's not a bad pillow but there is room for improvement.

Vale la pena invertir en una cosa así para campamento. Su valvula de inflado hace que sea muy sencillo su llenado y vaciado. Es comoda, trae una correa para poderla fijar a tu pad. Si puedes ponerle una funda es mucho mejor pa' que no te sude el cachete.

Fácil de inflar, es súper resistente, pero un poco incómoda si la inflas toda para ponerla en una silla o en asiento del coche, te empuja hacia delante y no puedes recargar la parte superior de la espalda, pero la puedes ajustar sacando aire. Si se pasa de presión, se libera el botón y saca el aire por lo que no la puedes reventar.
