Fell apart after 2 hikes. I had to use my daughter’s hair elastic to reattach part of it to finish the hike. The company reached out and provided a replacement set. Excellent customer support!

These crampons were our trusty companions on winter hikes in Banff National Park, and they delivered! Here's why I recommend them:

Secure Footing on Icy Trails:

The solid build quality inspires confidence.
Easy to slip on and off for quick transitions between icy and non-icy sections of the trail.
No slipping experienced, even on steep inclines or sheer ice.

Great Fit and Durability:
Fit our winter boots perfectly, providing a secure and comfortable grip.
The spikes held up well, even on rugged terrain.

Overall:
A fantastic investment for winter hiking, especially in Banff National Park's icy conditions. These crampons provided excellent traction and peace of mind, allowing us to fully enjoy our hikes. Highly recommended!

Picked up these cleats after my previous pair failed me on ice. The difference is night and day. They fit snugly on my boots, never slipping or shifting, a must in my line of work where stability is non-negotiable. The spikes provide excellent traction, making walks on icy paths feel secure. I've worn them daily since purchase, and they've held up well, no wear or tear yet. They're straightforward to put on and remove, saving me precious time in the morning. For anyone who braves icy terrains, these are a solid choice. Already planning to get another pair for a family member.

I recently purchased these to bring with me on a trip to Banff.

They were able to be brought with my carry-on luggage without issue, and they were a godsend on the few hikes we went on. They were very sturdy heading back down a 100m semi icy hill. 10/10 would recommend if you're going to be hiking in the winter/spring!

The little carrying bag was handy too, to help keep my other items in my pack clean.

Used it a dozen times so far over the last two weeks;

Pros: Fits both my mud and hiking boots perfectly, works amazingly well... no more worries about slipping. Excellent for winter walks, hiking and snowy/icy work environments. Reduces hazard.

Cons: If the snow isn't frozen, it can accumulate and stick to the bottom of the shoe a lot, stamping heels into the ground gets rid of it pretty fast.

The spikes on the heel slipped to the right once while wearing; no big deal. Make sure they are pulled up tight over the heel before you go out. Obviously don't wear them on linoleum or wood surfaces.

Originally bought this in summer as I needed spikes to walk over epoxied floor while finishing my garage. They worked great for that purpose and then I am using them in winter for the intended purpose of walking over ice. They have worked very well so far. I have been to a couple of long hikes over frozen grounds so far using these with no issues. They give a nice grip, attached to my hiking boots easily and stayed on well even without the velcro. As the elastics wear out I may start using the velcro but so far it’s holding well.

Bought these for a early spring hike on super icy paths. They were superb. I am a big guy and they really dug in. I could not be happier with the quality and price. They did not bend at all on solid surfaces and took all Mt weight like a champ. Great quality and value.

I used these while hiking up the Manitou Incline in the snow-covered icy spots and they worked great. I didn't slide at all. They were easy to put on and take off. They held up great! I did have to reattach one chain link, but that was it. I would recommend these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Snow, ice grips.

In no way do these spikes replace a 10/12 point crampon, but they do serve a purpose and they do it very well. I recently hiked the Tarmachan Ridge in full winter condition. Powdery snow with wind scarred ice sections. These spikes gave confidence under foot, very easy to put on and are a must to keep in your pack when it's possible you might encounter slippy conditions. Sometimes the conditions don't merrit a full crampon, this is where these spikes come into their own. Well made and great for the price.

Bought two pairs of crampons for our recent Lofoten, Norway trip. This crampon is simply awesome; it has very good grip on snow and especially icy surfaces. My wife and I could move around confidently without fear of falling.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far, they work great with thick sheets of Alaskan ICE.

Where I live in Alaska, it can be VERY icy. I have been putting OFF on wearing these because I get embarrassed by the LOUD crunching noise they make on the ice/snow. However, I decided to put them ON because my other cleats were wearing down and I didn't want to buy another pair if I had these ones lying around in my home. So far, I find that these work GREAT on the thick layers of ice that develop on the ground, including sidewalks and roads. One concern/downfall I should forewarn you about is that you can EASILY slip with them ON if you are walking on concrete and other slippery floor surfaces [such as laminate]--best not to wear them on any type of floor, or be careful if you must. Another concern/downfall is that they can get stuck in grates, such as sewer grates. Also, if you must walk UP/DOWN a set of metal stairs that have holes in them, be VERY careful because you could get stuck in them too. One last concern/downfall is that if there is lose snow on top of the ice, be very careful because you could possibly slip. With the mentioned concerns/downfalls, you should still walk slowly and walk/shuffle like a penguin. I am not sure how long they will last because I have only been wearing them for a couple of weeks; I am hoping they last me through more than one winter. In conclusion, they are very good product to have.

I gave a 5 star rating because of how well they work on ICE and they don't take too long to put them ON--best to sit down when putting them on. I believe I would purchase these again in the future. I forgot to mention that you should be careful when putting them ON because the metal chains can get a little tangled.
