This chainsaw set from Vanplay is a fun and well made set. Our son is loving this set. It arrived in a giftable box and was very well packed. It even comes with a large bag to store everything with room to spare. All you’ll need is 3xAAA to get the fun started. I would definitely recommend this set. The chainsaw is super cool but my toddler was happy with all of it. A few weeks after Christmas and still being played with daily. Definitely a good purchase.

One of the pieces broke day one, and the exacto knife looks too real for comfort but I’d still definitely buy again.

After perusing the Halloween section at the store one day and playing with a pretend chainsaw for a bit, my son was adamant on getting a more appropriate (non-Halloween themed) chainsaw to play with at home. After spending some time on Amazon, I decided on this set for not only the pretend chainsaw, but also a tool kit to really expand his handyperson imaginary play. The chainsaw is good, it has the pretend chain movement and sounds, but it can't hold a candle to the ones made by Stihl or Husqvarna as a couple more premium examples. If you want the best kids chainsaw, you're better off going with one of those brands. If you want a more complete tool set like I was after, this is a great option. Durability of the tools isn't the best, for example the pliers snapped with minimum tension when my son was playing with them, but I suppose that's expected and reflected in the approachable price.
