For more than 75 years, Thule has been creating solutions to simplify life's adventures. Our focus has been on developing smart, stylish products that are sound, high quality, safe, and easy to use.

Whatever your passion, whatever your pursuit. Wherever you're going, whatever you're bringing. With Thule you're free to live your active life to the fullest.

Thule test center: carriers & racks

Quality you can rely on

We’ll never know what adventures you’ll be taking your equipment on. That’s why we develop our products to manage any weather, any temperature, and any terrain in the whole world. We’ve come to the conclusion that nothing else will do. Every new product is put through temperatures of icy northern cold and burning desert heat, long sessions of intensive UV radiation, a salt chamber for corrosion endurance, several pressure and capacity tests – and finally a machine that shakes it for a lifetime’s worth, simulating two trips around the world in less than a week. Yes, the Thule Test Center is kind of brutal. But that’s the way the world is. And since we only give the sign of approval to products that have had the whole world against them (and survived it), it’s no wonder we’re international leaders in safety and durability – or that we even exceed the standards.

I love this case.
I transported my race bike to and from Germany this summer with this case, and it exceeded my expectations. The built-in bike stand is extremely useful for bike reassembly and adjustment on your trip. The included wheel bags have pockets inside for QR skewers, and I put my pedals and some spare tubes in the pockets too.Plenty of room in the case for tools and a few bags, but some airlines might not like seeing not-bike stuff in the case. I did not have any problems, but the Toronto Pearson airport did say no clothes. And of course, you CANNOT take CO2 cartridges on a plane in checked or carry-on baggage, and they specifically watch for them.In Toronto Pearson, they do not have a scanner large enough for the case, so expect to have to almost entirely empty the case, remove the foam protection, and empty any bags and tools so they can look at and swab everything. 10 minutes and it was handled, and barely even a minor inconvenience; the case is easy to pack and unpack. In Frankfurt, the check-in clerk got a handler to come out and fetch the case. I did not need to unpack the case for them for inspection. My rides in Germany came in sedans. We just barely got the case into the back seat, by slightly curving down/doming the side panels to fit. It worked out fine, and did not damage the removable side panels, but I am not sure I want to do it often for fear of damaging them. The entire experience has opened my eyes to the brilliance of taking my beloved bicycle with me on trips. This case may not be the cheapest, but its accoutrements make it stand out as a perfect bicycle flying solution and I recommend it to everyone. I seriously cannot wait for my next trips to introduce my bike to new countries and continents! The case does NOT come with any frame packing. I picked up a couple sizes of pool noodles at the local Canadian Tire for maybe $12, cut 'em up and used them for frame and post protection, which was fine and ultimately customisable to my needs. I don't consider this a major issue.

Impressed. To Europe and back with carbon bike with no issues. The removable stand is awesome to prepare the bike. FYI, AirCanada 50$ one way.

This travel bike bag is darn near top-notch. The only issue I had was that the front swivel wheel fell out during my trip. Hoping Thule can replace it at no cost. If so, I'll be sure to take it out before I check my bag. Otherwise, LOVE this bag!!!

We bought two of these cases for our trusty touring/gravel bikes: 27" wheels, 60 cm frames -- these are basically XL size road frames. With just a bit of disassembly (wheels off, pedals off, handlebars removed and turned, seat lowered), the bikes fit perfectly.

So far, each case has been on four flights and we've had no damage to the bikes, and no damage to the case. Easy to maneuver around the airport. Great design, well-made, relatively lightweight, and small enough to fit both into our hatchback car *and* the shuttle bus to airport parking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Convenient, lightweight and provides good protection

Despite of having the same issue as another reviewer with side panels being a bit too large and not fit very well in the side pockets, I give this bag highest rating. First, it provides excellent protection to a bike. It went through four flights already, and I can see marks of rough handling on outside and some dents in the side panels. Yet, the bike went back and forth intact - no single scratch. I agree hard cases are even more sturdy and can protect a bike even better, but they have another issue: weight. Currently, most airline policies treat a packaged bike as a regular luggage and don't charge extra if it meets certain criteria, including weight: it must not exceed 50 lbs. Hard cases typically weigh around 40 lbs. by themselves, and with a bike, you are guaranteed to exceed the limit. This bag weighs about 20 lbs., and, with a bike and a pump (yeah, I managed to squeeze a pump into the bag as well) it weights less than 50 lbs., and meets all criteria. So the bag saved me some good money I didn't pay in extras for overweight/oversize luggage.
The bag is very convenient to use, and I really like the tripod stand it unfolds to in order to prepare a bike for packaging. It is especially convenient in a small hotel rooms, as it raises the bike above bed level, where you have more space around the bike to access it from different sides. Tripod legs also work as support side beams when everything is packed, so the weight of the stand is used very wisely.
Speaking of the size, my bike frame is relatively small - 50 cm, so it fits with no issues. Besides the bike, it fits an extra wheel and a pump, and potentially I think it can fit a fourth wheel, so you can take a full spare set to your race.
Build quality of the bag is very good, with one issue I mentioned atop: the side plastic panels are a bit larger than they need to be, and they fit too tight into the side pockets of the bag. It takes an effort to insert them there and zip the pockets. Also, the panels are made of corrugated thin plastic. It saves the weight, however, hits and falls during a trip leave some dents on the plastic. I am not quite sure how long they'll last. While it is a reasonable compromise for weight, but please beware of that.
Overall, I am very happy with the bag and highly recommend it.

Conforme à la description. C'est une merveille à l'utiliser. Se monte et demonte très facilement et rapidement. Le trépied est assez pratique pour démonter et monter le vélo. Les côtés sont suffisamment durs pour protéger le vélo.
