Just received the item, disappointed for this one vs previous Thule Roundtrip Boot Backpack, the large, crush-proof SafeZone compartment is not as described, the cover is very soft which could not provide protect for goggle or sunglasses, maybe works for iPhone but it was designed for goggle actually. Plus it is not deep enough, after you putting adult goggle inside, the cover could not be zippedThe Secure Attachment Points also needs to be improved as when you tried to attach the skis, it could not fasten the ski tightly.Really love the two way access (top or front) component, big space to put helmet, ski glove & ski pants.The package was damaged on arrive as well

We bought 2 of the 45 L bags. So happy with them! Great quality and good looking bag. Fits our ski boots, helmet, goggles and gloves easily. The top pocket has a hard panel to help protect stuff, hasn’t really been put to the test but seems good so far. Love that you can tie skis to side, helps for carrying extra stuff. We use this for my husbands ski gear, so larger sized boots and such.

This bag is very thoughtfully designed and the slate color is great. I almost bought the 60L bag and I am glad I did not. 2 things made me consider the larger bag: 1) uncertainty whether it would fit both boots and a helmet and 2) some reviews suggesting that a size ten or similar boots would not fit.

After receiving the bag, I can confirm that for most people, 45L is plenty big. My 26.5 boots fit easily with about 2 inches to spare (see photo). This should accommodate at least up to size 30.5 mondopoint boots (roughly US13 shoe size). I think the reviewer who said they could not fit size 10 boots may have mistakenly tried to put the boots in the front compartment (where a helmet or other gear would go). It’s a natural mistake (we generally open backpacks from the front. But this bag is designed to put the boots through the rear of the bag so the boots are separated from other gear (a great design in my opinion). My boots would also not fit in the front compartment. I have also included a picture of the front compartment open while the boots are in the bag. My helmet will easily fit. There is also a separate goggle compartment with soft fleece-like lining on the top. Third picture.

Bottom line, I think this bag is plenty big and I would not want it 33% bigger. This is a pretty big bag already.

This bag looks great, has superior padding, and fits all of the essentials. It is on the smaller side, but if you plan to fly and take as a carry-on, these dimensions make more sense. My boots are on the larger side and my helmet is an XL and they fit comfortably, though with no room to spare for much else. This pack is on the pricier side, but we also own (and are happy with) some of the cheaper brands. The Thule stands out for the extra padding and quality construction.

Sry nice ski gear and boot bag. I can fit adult helmet, googles, 2 pair ski pants, 2 pair cloves, 2 hats, 2 scarfs, size US men’s 12 boots, socks, and a few odds and ends. Unfortunately my Oakley googles don’t fit in the “crush proof” top pocket so I use that for keys/wallet and just put googles inside my helmet for protection. Good trick we’ve done for years in old school duffel bags that had 1 pocket. Almost thought about buying the smaller version...glad I didn’t as this barely fit everything I wanted. Quality made for sure, this is why I purchased Thule gear bag. Got ski bag to match, although I have a level nine dot com bag that’s equal quality for waaaay less $. I couldn’t find any other large backpack boot bag like this though which is the style I wanted.

Pretty Decent Bag!
This is a well thought out ski bag with pockets and room for all of your essentials.
The two main compartments are the Boot Garage and the main gear pocket. The Boot Garage unzips to hold your ski boots. When unzipped, there is a convenient flap to put your bare feet on when changing out of your boots.
The main gear pocket has just enough room for your helmet, gloves, head sock, ski pants and an extra layer or a light parka. If you bring a lot of additional bulky items to the slopes, it may be difficult to squeeze them in.
There are many more features to this bag, including three more pockets. There is a rigid protective pocket on the top for goggles, glasses, and other small items. There are two other hidden pockets on either side of the large gear pocket that could hold hand warmers, spare gloves, or car keys.
Another added feature is that there are multiple handles to pick it up and a side access flap for the main compartment.
The only thing that I wrestle with on this bag is that it stands up nicely when fully loaded, but collapses on its side once I take the boots out. It can be a little annoying, but it is a small price to pay for an otherwise great bag.
One thing I really liked about this bag is the price. There were other bags from outdoor stores with less features that were much more expensive.
