The Perfect Air cooler
Bought this after realizing my cpu (12600kf) was running at 90-100° under full load, had bought a pre built that only came with a single block radiator aio. Read some reviews and found this to be a universal winner for the price and wattage range. Performed above expectations and excellently dropping my cpu all the way down to 60° under full load (a 30-40° difference)Pros:Easy install and came with brackets for older intel models/lga 1700 and am4/am56 heat pipes and dual block for extra coolingComes with two 1550 rpm fans and thermal pasteVery high ram clearanceOnly $40(cad)Pretty damn quiet even at max speeds, if ur wearing any type of headphones or any background noise you won’t hear a thingCons:Only negative I have to say is the instructions are kinda meh, would recommend just looking up a yt video and following that but the install is more than easy enough

I don't normally write reviews, however I thought I would this time, This cooler is very impressive to say the least. install was very straight forward, took about 10 minutes, and the performance is amazing. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600X, I thought I would put the cooler to the test by running CinebenchR23 and Prime95, I ran both for over 30 minutes, all cores stayed at there boosted speed of 4.6Ghz+ while temps never exceeded 67°C, Nothing I could do would push temps higher, I even ran Cinebench while watching videos on YouTube, still never exceeded 67° nor did the fans max out (I have my curve set to not hit 100% until CPU hits 70°) The fans are no more noisy than any other 120mm at high RPM, although I did find due to the fins on the unit a slight whining sound, I am sure though that is caused simply by the air being passed through the fins so they resonate a little at high RPM, over all though that is not an issue as most times no one will be loading all cores to the max when playing a game or whatever you may be doing on the PC short of benchmarks and testing, how this cooler is not twice the cost is beyond me, as it would be well worth it even if it was, and for the 40$ that it does sell for, you would have to be silly not to invest in this cooler if you needed one or wished a better cooler than the stock one you may of received when you buy your CPU, my only complaint is the fact the fan closest to the RAM over hangs quite a bit (blocking view of the RAM so crappy if like me you have RGB RAM) and second said fan over hangs the cooler by half inch or so when installed on the RAM side, to remedy this I decided to install my fans (on in middle and one at the side towards the back) in a Pull/Pull config, that way the air is drawn through the side closest to the ram and blown out the back. I tested different positions (such as what is shown in picture) and found no difference in temperatures, which I figured would be the case as in a Push/Pull config it would be the same air flow regardless, mine is just "backwards" but still all the hot air is blown out the back of the case, only drawback is I can not really see the RGB of the fans (which is not a huge deal for me) all and all I would 100% recommend this cooler to anyone with a PC.

I recently built my PC and opted to go with a much cheaper alternative to something like NOCTUA and I couldn't be more impressed. This powerful air cooler not only delivered exceptional cooling performance but also added a touch of elegance to my system's aesthetics. The most notable aspect of the Peerless Assassin 120 SE is its outstanding cooling capability. It comes equipped with six heat pipes, and boasts effective and efficiency. It dissipates heat from the CPU, keeping temperatures well under control even during intensive tasks and overclocking.

One of the standout features of this cooler is its remarkable build quality. The solid construction and attention to detail are immediately apparent. The black nickel-plated heat sink with its sleek design not only adds a premium look to my rig but also enhances the overall airflow efficiency. It seamlessly blends with any build theme, providing a visually pleasing and cohesive appearance.

Installation was a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly mounting system. Thermalright has clearly invested in designing an intuitive installation process, allowing even novice PC builders to effortlessly install this cooler. Applying the Thermal Paste of your choice couldn't be easier aswell! The comprehensive installation instructions provided further simplified the setup, ensuring I had the cooler up and running in no time.

Another aspect that impressed me was the low noise operation of the Peerless Assassin 120 SE. The included 120mm fan runs quietly while maintaining excellent airflow, contributing to a peaceful computing experience. Even under heavy loads, the fan noise remains at an unobtrusive level, allowing me to focus on my work or immerse myself in gaming sessions without distractions.

In conclusion, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Air Cooler is an exceptional cooling solution that combines impressive performance, stunning aesthetics, and ease of installation. Its robust build quality, efficient heat dissipation, and quiet operation make it an excellent choice for any PC enthusiast or professional user. If you're looking for a reliable air cooler that delivers outstanding cooling performance while enhancing the visual appeal of your system, the Peerless Assassin 120 SE is a top-tier option that won't disappoint.

Bought this cooler for my new PC build. Keeps my Ryzen 7700X cool even under sustained full load. CPU keeps running at 80°C at 116% load for 15 minutes. Fan is quite most of the time and even when it ramps up to 100% it it is just a soft sound of moving air. Very happy with the performance and sound level. Comes with everything to install, even thermal paste.

I was on a budget and decided to order this cooler. Came with thermal paste. Easy to install onto the motherboard.
I regret not picking up the ARGB version. It'll be a future upgrade I suppose. This will have to do for now.
