How do I know if the wireless CarPlay adapter is compatible with my car?

If you have wired Apple CarPlay installed in your car, this product is fit for your vehicle. To know the compatible device, you can also find the right information on the CarPlay website or ask your car dealer.

Disconnection?

After connection, the phone's Wi-Fi will be occupied by the wireless CarPlay program. Dropped connections are usually caused by Wi-Fi interference. You may need to ignore other Wi-Fi networks when using the adapter.

Can the adapter be paired with multiple phones?

YES. It can be paired with multiple phones, but only one device can be connected at a time. When pairing it with a new phone, please cancel the current connection first. By default, it will only auto-connect back to the last used phone.

Sound playing from the car stereo is delayed while watching video on the phone?

Sorry, this issue is not with the adapter itself, but rather a problem with the wireless transmission. Because video transcoding is more complex than normal audio file transcoding and takes longer to process.

Audio input or output issues?

Please check your phone's Bluetooth to see if it is connected to another device. If so, please ignore other auto-connected Bluetooth devices.

This was extremely easy to install on my 2019 Kia. Plug it in, pair with bluetooth, and you're good to go.Pros:- Tiny. Easy to hide. Comes with a small 3M strip so you can stick it to the side or top of the USB area of the car.- Simple to use and set up- Does exactly what it says it shouldCons:- Significant audio delay. Approximately 3-4 seconds. This alone is not that big an issue unless you are a serial song skipper like me, and you have to wait patiently between pressing the skip button and seeing the next song pop up. To be fair, I have noticed latency issues in cars with built-in wireless Carplay, but I have not experienced as lengthy a delay as this.- The unit stays on after the car shuts off. There is an LED light that, while dim, stays lit. This concerns me in that a) I don't use my car every day and I worry about battery drain, and b) anything lit up inside a car makes thieves excited.- The phone stays connected to the unit after the car is off. Calls and music will attempt to route through the device if you are still in range of it.- For these reasons, it is necessary to unplug the device each time, meaning that you're buying a dongle to avoid having to plug your phone in, only to have to plug the dongle in each time anyway.

I had originally purchased a similar wireless adaptor of another model, but wasn’t happy with the performance, so I returned it and bought this one instead. Good choice. This wireless adaptor performs very well. My phone connects in no time. What I am most impressed about, and what I find very intelligent in the design, is that the permanent connection is through wi-fi. The audio quality, when listening to music is far superior to a Bluetooth connection. I have a Meridian sound system in my car and the difference with a Bluetooth connection is clear. Otherwise, the only caveat I have is that it requires to be disconnected/reconnected from the usb port whenever a new phone is connected to it. My wife drives the car on weekdays and I do on the weekends. I need to reconnect my phone when she last drove the car and vice-versa. In order to do this, the adaptor needs to be unplugged and reconnected from/to the usb port. A manual reconnection of the blustooth/wifi of the phone is sometimes required. If you have only one phone connecting, this is not an issue. Even so, it is not a big issues just having to deconnect and reconnect once in a while.

After coming across this product I thought it was a fantastic idea. My current vehicle is a 2018 GMC Terrain with Apple CarPlay only available via wired USB.
Connecting to the adapter for the first time was a breeze, I didn't even need the instructions as setup was very intuitive. As promised in the description, connecting to the adapter was automatic and very fast during vehicle start-ups after the initial setup. Playing, pausing, skipping, or reversing both music and podcasts was a couple of seconds delayed, which was fine and something I definitely expected as it is a third-party accessory. However, taking phone calls was a disaster.
When a phone call would come in, I would answer through CarPlay. The system would automatically attempt to relay the call through GMC's infotainment system instead of using CarPlay but would drop the call while attempting to make the transition. When returning the call to whomever contacted me, the system would pass the call between CarPlay and GMC's infotainment system multiple times which would cause a delay/break in the call where I would lose the person I was talking to for a couple of seconds each time. I would have to manually use my phone to change the Bluetooth connection to the infotainment system to override this.
When changing between Apple Music and Amazon Music (to listen to podcasts), all sound would freeze and nothing would play. I would again have to go on my phone and manually play the podcast for it to work.
The whole point of using CarPlay is not to need to use or be distracted by your phone while driving. I ended up using my phone more to try and fix the issues I was having as opposed to just connecting it via USB cable.
As I said, the product is a great idea and connecting wasn't an issue at all. It just didn't work to fit my wants and needs.

I don't need to take my phone out of my pocket and it connects seamlessly. There is a few second lag, but honestly it is a hundred times better than connecting it with a wire every time.
