Ab absolutely beautiful lens for the price, a bit of vignetting at f2.8 but goes away at 4
Mostlt use for street
Compact so with XE3 kinda slips in Trousers pocket
Makes you a better photographer if you learn to play with composition with a fixed focus lens

About this item
- Ideal Portability: The portability of the pancake lens makes it easy to carry. & it is suitable for a variety of subjects such as portraits, street photography & landscape photography.
- STM Stepping Moto: TTARTISAN AF 27mm F2.8 CF lens adopts the ''STM+leading screw'' stepping motor, which is small in size & smooth in focusing.
- Eye Recognition Focus: Accurate & agile eye tracking makes it easy to capture wonderful moments when taking photos, & helps to shoo smooth images when recording videos.

- 0.35 Close-up Shooting: The closest focus distance is 0.35m to capture every detail. & with a large aperture of F2.8, the non-focus area has fantastic bokeh.

Thicker than I hoped and kind of quirky.
All the quirks mean that I'd rather have purchased a cheaper manual focus, or a more expensive Fuji pancake. Plus, my X-T30 ii isn't quite pocket sized like I hoped it would be with this lens. Still, it's smaller than my other lenses so it's easy to keep on and carry around.Pros:-Lens is affordable-Lens is lightweight-Build quality feels fairly good.-It's convenient to keep on my camera and grab as I head out the door.Cons:-The auto focus is the worst I've used, being both loud and slow.-The lens has significant vignetting, especially at larger apertures.-Chromatic aberrations start to appear as you stop down the aperture.-The lens is larger than you might expect.-Bugs in the software of this lens seem to disagree with my camera from time to time.PS: I'll keep using the lens since I have it now, and all the optical quirks can actually fun to work around from about F4-F5.6. I have enjoyed the lens, but would purchase something else in hindsight.

It is not a super sharp lens. But with some film simulations, it gives you a natural film look. I love it for what it is and for under $200, it is a bargain. Hope they will make more affordable autofocus lenses like this.

Great lens for the price
Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2023Colour Name: BlackVerified Purchase
I find this to be a great alternative to the Fuji version. Optics are great even wide-open. Super sharp when stopped down to F/5.6. Lens coatings aren’t that great so the lens is susceptible to lens flare.

Support is a little challenging, but once it works, it's a good lens
Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2023Colour Name: TitaniumVerified Purchase
I've tried 4 different computers and at least as many cables, some USB-A to USB-C and some USB-C to USB-C, and no computer recognizes the lens as a storage device. The lens does not ship with a cable, which is pretty lame.
(Edit, a few days later) On a whim I tried a couple of other USB cables I found in a drawer, and one of them worked to allow the thing to be connected and mounted as a storage device. I went to the download website, and downloaded what is labeled the "1.1.1" (XF mount) firmware. There's an installation video, which spends about 80 percent of its running time on how to do the USB setup (which is not surprising to me) and then only like 10 or 15 seconds of the actual process to install the new ".bin" file in the camera. The instructions also call the download package a "zip" file (or maybe they use the term "unzip"; whichever), but in fact the file is a ".rar" archive and not a zip file. That may be why it's not supported on MacOS (though I bet a .rar extractor can be found for MacOS).
So I installed the .bin file per instructions, unmounted the lens from the computer, and then mounted the lens on the camera. Doing the Fuji power-on with "Display/Back" pressed, the camera told me that the lens firmware version is 1.02. Does that mean the update worked? I have no idea.
(Edit again) Well apparently when the lens "eats" the update file (when it's mounted on a camera? I don't know) it updates a "DeviceInformation.txt" file that's visible when the lens is mounted as a storage device on a computer. That file apparently shows the authoritative software version (1.1.1 in this case, for Fuji cameras). That looks correct with my lens now; why the camera shows the version as "1.02" I don't know.
The support people are nice but English is not their first language.
The lens weighs nothing and is a good match for the camera (Fuji XE-3). It's sharp enough for me, and a good focal length for "walking around" shooting.

TLDR: solid lens for the price, lightweight, and compact but not a fan of the titanium color
Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2024Colour Name: TitaniumVerified Purchase
I bought this for 2 reasons. 1, I wanted a more compact set-up for city/street photography while traveling. 2, I wanted an affordable option to test out using prime lenses. This lens delivers on both accounts, my x-t4 is super light and way more compact than when I use my 16-80 zoom. I still plan on relying on my fuji 16-80 zoom for most settings but I really like how light and compact my camera is with this lens for walking around town. I feel like it encourages me to carry the camera when I would normally leave it at home.
My only negative so far is that the Titanium color has a bluish tint and is not even close to matching the silver color of my x-t4. Had I realized this I would have ordered the black version. I can live with the mismatch but for aesthetics, I really do wish I had ordered black or that the titanium color would have been more silver.

Firmware update failed, USB device malfunctioned, Lens does not work.

As the title says but here are more details.. Firmware update failed due to not enough memory? I can't remember the error word for word. USB device malfunctioned. I did everything to try and fix the device but could not get it to work. The device would no longer connect. The lens would not work on X-T30ii body. See the video and images. I followed the manufacturer's steps on their website to update the firmware step by step and this was the end result. I have done photography for 10 years and have done many many firmware updates. This is the first time I have ever had an issue.
