I originally bought a Netgear 10-Port Gigabit/10G Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS110MX) for the purpose of sharing the 10G port of the Bell Giga Hub with multiple 1 gig ports but when I connect the 10 Gig port and connect everything else to 1 gig ports the download bandwidth halves to 500mbps. No good.

Now I got this (TP-Link TL-SX1008) Connected it to the Bell 10 Gig port then connect the rest of the ports to my other 1 gig switches. All ports working all full speed. I get my full (950/950) mbps speeds. Working really well. Very happy. it is that missing piece that I have been waiting for the longest time.

I have been disappointed by Amazon recently sending me Used Items as new. This Item was new. I would expect An apology discount but they do not care. They sent me an insulting e-mail about how my returns is exceeding expectations.

Not even 2 months having this TP Link 48 Port Unmanaged Switched and completely took down my network infrastructure causing an outtage of over 8 hours on a busy work day! An unmanaged switch is just supposed to work but apparently it's a ticking time bomb before it takes down your network making you scramble to find consultants, talk to employees over the phone, or have you drop everything to come to the office and troubleshoot a piece of crapware. Just to be sure, I took it out of the network to run tests and it would just freeze or not even auto negotiate traffic. So words of wisdom, cheap doesnt always mean good and i wish i could return the TP Switch but it so happens i'm 7 days past the return window!!! It's like my switch knew to die right after the return window passed... DO NOT BUY!
