I thought I would give this a try and for the price that I got them at when they were on sale, I can't really complain. I needed a camera to record 24/7 without a cloud service. Although a cloud service is available with these which make it a GREAT option to get these cameras. So I put in a 128Gb card and set it up and away we go. I set it up on motion tracking and it works really well. I had to stop the tons of notifications I was getting but is a handy feature when I need it. It even tracks the cats wandering all around. Overall I am happy with the camera but if I had to nit pick at something it would be a couple of things. It tracks movement on the TV, so the camera often watching TV instead of the people in the room. Not a deal breaker. The other bug for me is that when it tracks and follows something to a certain point, after a while the camera resets to a position if it doesn't sense someone. The problem is it often sets to a position or a fixed setting that I can't seem to control. This one annoys me somewhat because the camera can completely miss someone coming into the room. Still working on this one. But overall I am happy with the cameras and the ease of setting it up with the app. I have actually purchased several more of these. And for that reason I'm in.

Have been using these for a few weeks now and amazed at the quality of picture in daylight and darkness, the pan ability, the ability to hear sound through camera and the sensitivity. The speaker is terrible though, just comes out a mess of sound. Did the trial for the cloud storage its a great system and user friendly to view past videos.

I have wanted to install cams around the house for the longest time and what usually sets me back is extra charges and fees to view content.....well no more with these Tapo cams. I bought 4 c210 cams and 1 255 cam pointed at my back yard through the kitchen window.

Set-up is beyond simple and with little effort I was able to see cctv on my samsung tv through smartthings app. App on my phone is easy and flawless although not super fast but then again nether is any cam remote software.ie alarmforce bell etc.

I have put 128G memory in all cams and it records in a loop with quality sound color and image at 2k. Even if it disconnects from my wifi it just keeps taping. Wonderful.

I turned off all the alarms and set motion and person notifications . It was non stop ringing on my phone.

I can go to each event on the cam timeline and see what triggered it. Too simple.

If you wanna get a cam system at more than decent prices get these. They catch very low light and are clear . the c210 does motion sensing without subscription. I turned off all the automation but you can make it sweep and so much more. Lots of bang for your 35$ per cam.

Dont hesitate.

I purchased one camera for the front door as there were some security concerns on our building and we left the apartment unsupervised for long periods of time. It was definitely one of the best purchases I have made.

Pricing is very fair, the 2K resolution works great and allows to view detail while zooming.

The app is free and can hold multiple cameras for free, I believe 4 is the limit but need to make sure. Through the app you can setup motion-detection based recording or chose to record all the time. There you can also speak through the camera, move it around and create default positions/viewing angles to chose from. There are also premium features that require payment, like cloud-based storage and movement follow but the base app is really all you need and works great! You can look at the footage from anywhere.

I have since purchased another to monitor the inside of the apartment and two for my mother's house. Keep in mind you do need to buy SD cards to record locally but those are pretty cheap, around $10 for 64gb here on amazon.

I would definitely recommend these for properties left unsupervised that require supervision (AirBNBs, warehouses, shops, etc)

Tapo makes inexpensive reliable cameras that can can be used for many different use cases. My use case is as a baby monitor camera.

You can read below the pros and cons but if you are in the market for a baby monitor this is the best value/feature/operation camera among the competition.

In my setup I pay for Tapo’s cloud service which is inexpensive. I understand that is a preference but my approach is availability and reliability and having the videos stored on the cloud meet both my needs.

Pros
- Baby crying detection. Works all time and it’s immediate
- Person detected and any other detection works reliably
- Immediate alerts, literally
- Excellent day time video quality
- Starlight is nice
- Invisible infrared works better with my baby (doesn’t stare at the camera)
- Camera rotation is flawless and very handy
- Streaming quality
- Videos can be downloaded from the cloud
- Zones works
- Privacy button is very handy
- Accepts SD cards
- 25fps recording
- Wide field of view
- Scheduling works as expected
- Night vision is through infrared and delivers decent quality. It is not the same as at daytime but it is more than ok and gets the job done. Night vision won’t be High Definition for small objects that are very far, you can see them but details will be difficult to view ( ex. persons expression 10 meters away)
- The cloud service is easy to manage, low cost and works as expected

Cons
- Ok audio quality recording , don’t expect a proper audio recording. All gig pitch noises are picked up clearly though but you want be able to hear clearly a full conversation.
- Two way audio could be better. It works

Good to have in the future
- Ability to use a new WiFi network without resetting. It can come handy when traveling
- Ability to snooze multiple notifications for the same event. Perhaps even different notification groups for different users
- Even wider field of view
- It is 360 but not a full circle once you reach 180 from each side you have to go all the way to the other side to get 360. Full one side 360 rotation.
- Had a 5 minute video limit only when viewing the camera away from home being remotely. I understand why it does that but an option to disable it would be great. When at home it has continuous view.

Es una cámara excelente, me parece el precio muy accesible y es muy fácil de usar.

La compré para casa de mi mamá que ya es mayor y le instale la app en su teléfono y ella está súper contenta de poder ver a nuestra perrita por la cámara, no ha tenido problemas para usar la app y la calidad de la imagen de la cámara es buenísima.

Lo padre además es que tiene la opción de almacenar el video comprando una tarjeta SD, en nuestro caso no la compramos y la usamos simplemente para ver en vivo lo que está pasando en la casa y funciona de maravilla.

Solamente tuve un detalle porque pedí 2 cámaras y 1 venía defectuosa, pero pude realizar la devolución de la cámara dañada y me mandaron otra nueva y han funcionado sin problemas
