Works well, good instructions, much cheaper than brand name
My Brother printer has been printing with a gray hue over the entire page, and when I looked it up one of the suggestions was changing the drum. I do print a lot so I got this drum unit and replaced it in my printer. It continued to print the gray hue just as much, if not slightly more. So then I changed the toner in the new drum unit, and now the pages look bright and clean again. The drum unit works well, and I also needed to change the toner.The drum unit comes well packed in a cardboard box with some foam and also an instruction sheet. The drum also comes wrapped in plastic to protect it. There is a sheet around the drum that you need to pull off with a sticker. The sticker is bright yellow and obvious which is good because they didn't mention it in the instruction book.The instructions are clear and it's easy to replace the drum unit. You do need to remember to slide the little green switch back and forth along the back when you put the toner in to make sure that the drum wire is clean. And of course be careful not to touch the drum itself or the chip.My printer accepted the drum without a problem, it went in easily, and I did not get an error message.This drum unit is much cheaper than the brand version, so saves money.With the new drum in my printer and a new toner it is working perfectly and beautifully, with clear, crisp pages and no gray hue.
