Got this for my asus rog ally, runs games at super high speeds with no studded or lag which is amazing. Also gives you the opportunity to download way more games then you could hold on a factory memory card. Easy to install

If you fill up the to about half and you use up the small window of SLC cache, the write speeds get reduced to HDD Analog speeds if not worse. i.e. Transfer a file larger than a couple gigabytes and you'll see the process start slowing down significantly within a matter of minutes, if not seconds.

If you pay $60 more and get the WD 2TB, it has TLC NAND and has better features. Like any NVMe under stress, it will slow down when hot or past it's threshold temps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well on the Surface 9 Pro

I had already upgraded my SP9 with a 1TB SSD when I bought it. But lately it was really bogging down and slow as molasses. I knew I needed to rebuild it and figured easier to just get a newer, faster 2TB drive to replace the older 1TB one.

Easy enough to install, and the speed seems better than my previous one. Couldn't have been easier.

Bought this Teamgroup 2TB NVMe drive and inserted it (when applying the included thermal pads I did have to cut them down significantly to fit them inside) into an SSD for iPhone magsafe carrier. Formated the drive to exFAT and plugged it in. Can record directly to the SSD via BlackMagic Cam App (free in 2024) as well as from the native camera app (not as good). From the BlackMagic App I can still upload videos to Google Drive / DropBox and send via Text Message so it’s prefect!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well in my Steam Deck. Runs at top sppeds for system's specs.
Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2024
Size: 2TBStyle: Swift-2230Verified Purchase
I bought the 2TB 2230 version. It's a Gen 4, but the Steam Deck only has a Gen 3 M.2 port so I can not reach Gen 4 speeds. I am though getting top speeds for a Gen 3 so I am happy. Temps so far stay around 46c to 55c which is fine for a SSD (they can safely go up to 70c). If I was using it in a regular PC, or Laptop though I would get a 3rd party heatsink (all Gen 4 & above need one regardless of brand) I'm using what the Steam Deck is equipped with which is good enough. I've bought other SSDs from Teamgroup in the past (eight to be exact), and all but one are still working fine, but their customer service was good at replacing the defective one quickly so at least they are okay with warranties unlike some other brands I dealt with. So far I am happy with the upgrade, and not wasting money on a more expensive newer gen NVME SSD just to not be able to reach it's full potential due to the Gen 3 port limitation. If anything goes wrong I will update the review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Affordable, Reliable Storage Upgrade
Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2024
Size: 2TBStyle: Swift-2230Verified Purchase
Have had this drive for a couple months now and it has performed well. I replaced the base 256GB storage in my Surface Pro 9 i7 with this 2TB model. The first attempt I simply slapped on a thermal pad and threw it in to the surface. Performance was good but I did notice that during DiskMark runs I was getting low 1M Q1T1 and 4K Q1T1 scores on multiple run throughs. I then took the drive back out and put the default Surface Pro shielding on this drive along with some Noctua paste and noticed much more stable performance. Also, for the Surface Pro at least, it seems the drive gets a performance boost when it's plugged in vs on Battery. The attached screen shots show first, DiskMark scores on battery (3 runs and that was the middle) and then the scores plugged in (After like 5 runs). Overall, the drives performs just as good as the original and I haven't noticed any hiccups.
