Excellent for US trip

I purchased this SIM card for a six day trip to the USA, and it worked flawlessly. The instructions were easy to follow and setup didn't take long to do. I did the SIM card switch while I was on the plane so when I arrived in the US it was ready to go. The data worked great with no noticeable issues and the speed was great. I was able to call people back in Canada with no issues. There was a very slight delay while talking on my cell, but nothing to complain about. Texting worked great as well sending pictures. You have to activate the SIM card about 48 hours before you leave for your trip and you will be emailed a phone number that will be assigned to the card. Also, you can add more time to your card if needed, but it needs to be done a day or so ahead of the end date of the SIM card plan. I added one extra day to my six day plan roughly 28 hours before the plan would expire and it cost $3.50 USD + tax. Extremely pleased with this SIM card and will definitely buy again for my next trip.

I have an Apple iPhone 14 Pro and used the 28-day eSIM for a trip to the USA, it was well worth the $54.00 (+ tax). When you order this eSIM you will receive an information card with instructions. The card has the Sim Card Number and Serial Number on it, so don't lose it and remember to take it with you... if you need help you'll need the Card and Serial numbers.

Be sure to set up the eSIM a few days prior to your trip, all the information is on the card, the website is provided or you can use the QR code. Their Customer Service was amazing. Prior to our trip, I accidentally entered the incorrect date when setting up the eSIM on their website. I contacted Customer Support using their online chat. They answered immediately and corrected my error right away. Then we decided to leave a day early for our trip and again they switched my start date with no issues. Once you set it up you'll receive a confirmation email and instructions to activate the eSIM which you do one day prior to your trip departure. As soon as you activate it you'll receive another email which will include your temporary US cell number.

Since you're activating it one day prior to your trip, you'll receive a text to welcome you to T-Mobile letting you know your temporary number has been set up. After I received that message I went to Settings, then Cellular. You'll see your primary number and the eSIM number under the heading 'SIMs'. Be sure to turn the eSIM number OFF and keep your primary number ON. Just before you cross the board (or take off if you're flying), go back and switch this... turn OFF your primary number and turn your eSIM number ON. This will keep your primary number from roaming.

It worked beautifully on our trip, I loved having unlimited data anywhere, anytime and it was helpful having a temporary US cell number, especially for texting with friends and family. I let them know the US number so they'd recognize texts.

The eSIM connects through T-Mobile. Sometimes we were in very remote areas (bike trails) without any service which would have happened regardless of which Sim I was using. Note... there were a couple times when we returned to 'civilization' I found it wasn't connecting to Google Maps. I went into Settings, then Cellular, and clicked on the eSIM phone number. I toggled it OFF, then ON again and I was back in business. This must have helped it to locate a signal.

I have already recommended this to a couple of people who will be travelling. The card is extendable if needed just by contacting Customer Service.

As long as your phone can support dual Sim, it's a great option when your cell plan doesn't include the USA.

Be sure to check if your phone is eSIM compatible before purchasing, see instructions included on the product page above these reviews (dial *#06#, if eSIM compatible your cell phone's EID number will show. If not, then your phone is not compatible). Also, it is not compatible with the following phones... I copied this information from one of their emails... "HUAWEI、OPPO、XIAOMI are NOT fully compatible with T-Mobile service. Android phone (such as Moto, Samsung、Nokia and etc.) has to be the model released within 2 years. iPhone users have to be iPhone XR or newer versions. The plan is for smartphones ONLY, no router, or broadband device."

I will definitely purchase this again next time we travel to the USA. Highly recommended!

Service Failure & Unreliable, Unhelpful, Some Even Non-existent Customer Service

I am usually not one to write negative reviews, but unfortunately, this company and customer service was a great disappointment. Upon contemplation, I decide to write this because I chose to purchase this product due to the very high reviews. However, in my experience, the service that they failed to deliver cost me much time, energy, and money during and after my work trip. I hope that this honest review serves as a caution for potential future buyers.

I bought the 9-day plan. Activated the SIM 2 days in advance. The SIM worked normally the day I arrived. On day 6, there was no service on my phone. I thought it was an issue on my end, so I waited a few hours. Still no service. I rebooted my phone a couple times. Took the SIM out and back in. Still, the same issue.

Because the SIM did not work, I could not call the numbers they gave to access them if there are any issues. I also couldn't access WhatsApp (another contact they provided) because, again, no SIM service.
I had to take time out of my work trip, and purchase an item at a cafe to use their Wifi in order to contact customer service.

The first representative ultimately said there was no other way to solve this issue, and that I just had to purchase a local SIM card in order to use my phone. So, I took more time out of my trip to go to a local phone carrier and purchase a SIM card (which cost another $27).

Approximately 6 hours later, a different representative messaged to suggest a troubleshooting solution to the issue I had experienced. After I told them I had already purchased a local SIM card, they said that they would have found a solution rather than have me spend money on a new one.

They offered a refund for the two days I was not able to use their service, which would only amount to approximately $8.5. I explained that this offer does not add up. I purchased the 9-day plan. If their service delivered, I would not have had to spend an extra $27. I asked if they could cover for the cost of my new SIM. After saying they would bring this up to their superior, it was radio silence on their end for 4-5 days. I messaged multiple times. They read the messages, but did not respond. I called the two phone numbers they provided multiple times over a few days thinking I may have called on their off-hours. One number would automatically disconnect. The other number never answered. Neither of these numbers connected me to a CS representative. The numerous times I called and failed to connect proves to me that the numbers they give do not provide the services they promise. They never answered their WhatsApp calls either. I also emailed them, but their only response was to use WhatsApp.

After returning from my trip, I eventually got a message saying they can only provide a half refund because “the SIM is not a life necessity for this trip.”

All in all, I am extremely disappointed by this company. The initial SIM issue I experienced is minor — I understand that it is something that can happen. However, the most disappointing is their very unreliable (WhatsApp), unhelpful (email), some even non-existent (phone numbers), customer service and unreasonable solution to their failed service.

I will not be using this company again, and hope this review helps others in their decision as well.

Ich war erst skeptisch, bin aber im Nachhinein sehr froh mich für diese Sim Karte entschieden zu haben. Fragen an den Kundenservice wurden sofort beantwortet. Die Freischaltung war einfach . Man sollte aber auf jeden Fall daran denken, sich ein paar Tage vor dem Abflug darum zu kümmern. Die Handynummer passend zur Sim Karte bekommt man dann per Mail zugeschickt. In den USA angekommen, hat die Sim Karte sofort einwandfrei funktioniert. Ich hatte in den USA und auch in Kanada eine gute Netzabdeckung und immer gutes Internet.
