I must say this little pad impressed me. The buttons feel even better than my mpk pro 249.. Update, this thing is still running perfect, after a few months of pounding on it, the pads are still tight. Im not afraid of Synido anything now.

Really good product but I just havent figured it out yet because I’m new and don’t have much knowledge. Customer support is super helpful and nice

There is no software to make easy use of it. Using it with other software is somewhat of a hassle. I would choose one that has basic software. I just wanted to make quick beats just for fun when playing guitar and it really is a chore setting this thing up.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )Verified Purchase
The Synido TempoPad is exactly the Midi controller I was looking for.

I set out to find something small enough because my space is limited, with a focus on pads vs piano keyboard style since I already have a nice electric keyboard that I can use for both recording its built in piano sounds, or as a midi controller. I also wanted some knobs or sliders, and transport controls (Play/Stop, Record, Loop..).

This has all of that, and even more since you have different “Banks” that essentially multiply what’s there. The 4 knobs have 4 “Banks” to give you a total of 16 knobs that can be mapped to any midi commands for example. The pads feel good and respond well. I’m on Mac, specifically GarageBand since I’m more of an instrument player/recorder rather than a house music producer/mixer. The TempoPad was instantly usable by simply plugging it in and opening Garage Band (it doesn’t make sounds on its own since it’s only a controller, not a musical instrument). I could use it for drums, piano, bass, synth, any midi instrument that is on Garage Band.

The one problem was trying to get the transport controls to work, I figured now was the time to download the software from their site, which I cannot post here. Well, you can customize pretty much anything you want on this thing, but unfortunately for me GarageBand doesn’t let you set the transport controls through midi commands. Logic Pro allows this so the TempoPad would have its transport controls, but I really do not need Logic Pro as I just record for fun. So it was either just use my MacBook keyboard shortcuts, or some other keyboard I can put stickers on the keys since I find it hard to remember all the shortcuts. Well, in my search I actually found the perfect thing, a keyboard footswitch. I got one for $45 on Amazon with 3 pedals that can be bound to any keyboard key, media function, or mouse button, or a combo of those. I put labels on the pedals for the functions I decided to bind them to (see photo). This pedal pairs amazingly well with the TempoPad since I’m usually holding a guitar or sitting at a piano, and I can put it at my feet wherever I am.

The TempoPad is also great for iOS devices too since they put a separate USB C port to supply extra power to the TempoPad since iOS devices require more consistent power (they don’t want you to lose your best solo because you had a power dip). Amazing product that even comes with a nice cable and case, and surprisingly good user manual.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought on a whim for my DND game

I bought this on a whim so I could control the music transitions in my dungeons and dragons games with physical knobs instead of digital knobs from the software, and so I could rebind the buttons to perform various functions such as controlling lighting. It does a fantastic job of this- especially with midi to keyboard shortcut programs. What I didn't expect was the ability to customize the input of each button and knob, and for there to be 3 pages of inputs you can toggle through! This probably works great for it's intended usage, but there's so much value from a technical standpoint if you know how to use external software. I currently use it with my art tablet too, as I've bound a lot of keyboard shortcuts to it. I've gotten insane value out of it, and it's fairly small for convivence too! I am unsure if you can do more with the lights. I'm sure it's possible given the right modifications or software, but my only complaint is I haven't found a built in function to swap between lights dynamically. I was hoping for more cool lighting effects.

Don't expect it to work out of the box. User manual written by a software engineer for software engineers. User manual's font is a 2. Mind numbing. All cables needed are not included. Truly truly garbage. Amazon should do better.
