Fairly decent HDMI 2.1 cable, 8K@60Hz/4K@120Hz capable, thin and flexible, NO HDMI cert hologram
4 Stars
Fairly decent HDMI 2.1 cable, 8K@60Hz/4K@120Hz capable, thin and flexible, NO HDMI cert hologram
This is a fairly decent HDMI 2.1 cable that supports a max bandwidth of 48Gbps and resolution of 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz (what's important to me at the moment since I don't have any 8K device to test it with) along with other advanced features such as Dynamic HDR, VRR, QMS, QFT, ALLM, DTS/Atmos, and so on).Btw, this does NOT have a HDMI certification hologram as it claims to have although others have reported that theirs did have one. In any case, mine doesn't have a hologram so I'm unable to verify its authenticity and that's a bit of a disappointment to say the least. The build quality for the connector is fairly decent as well as the strain relief. The plastic shell/housing itself is slightly smaller than some others in this category (i.e. ultra-thin) but they are about average (or perhaps slightly smaller) or somewhat typical in terms of dimensions in comparison to most others with similar style and design. With that being said, I do appreciate the fact that it IS smaller than some others and every little bit helps, wouldn't you say?The cable is has the old-fashioned PVC jacket that's roughly the same (or at least very similar) in diameter and thickness as many other ultra-thin cables are that I've come across, and they are extremely flexible in comparison to ordinary HDMI 2.1 cables, in terms of their ability to bend with decent bending radius (after all, they come rolled up in a plastic bag).As aforementioned, I don't have any device to test 8K@60Hz with but they do work just fine with 4K@120Hz without issues. They also pass the basic hardware wire tests to determine missing and/or incorrectly wired pairs and they all pass the tests with flying colors so that's great.≡ NoteThis is one of the relative few (not just HDMI 2.1 but HDMI cables overall) HDMI cables that has all 4 shielding wires (amongst a few other wires) present. Many and most others cheap out on those and try to shamefully pass them off as 'premium' cables. Note that I've seen several of those premium cables that do NOT have ALL the shielding pairs although they do look and feel premium on the outside with metal alloy shell and flashy prints on 'em.Shielding isn't optional and it's there for a reason (as you can easily imagine) and the least which is to ensure the immediate surrounding environment do NOT negatively impact the performance of the cable; remember that the higher the speed the more susceptible it is to interference.###≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a fairly decent ultra-thin HDMI 2.1 cable that's well-constructed and work as expected without issues. It's also very easy to work with but unfortunately it doesn't bear the official HDMI certification hologram and that's just disappointing to see. It's reasonably priced at $10 (for a 1ft ultra-thin version) for what it provides and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance.Updated: 2023.12.14I've since purchased 5 additional of these ultra-thin cables of various lengths to replace the existing bulky ones to tidy up the place.

The 8K HDMI Cable 4FT 2-Pack by Stouchi promises to deliver exceptional performance and compatibility with various devices, including the PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X. Here's an honest review of this product:

The first notable aspect of these cables is their slim braided design, which adds durability and a touch of elegance. They are visually appealing and seem capable of withstanding regular usage. The cables are 4 feet long, which should be sufficient for most setups, although longer options would be appreciated for more flexibility.

The advertised 48Gbps bandwidth and HDMI 2.1 specification make these cables suitable for high-resolution content, including 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz, as well as 2K@144Hz. This level of performance ensures smooth and immersive gameplay or video streaming experiences, provided your devices and display support these resolutions and refresh rates. It's worth noting that not all devices currently take full advantage of HDMI 2.1 capabilities, so compatibility may vary depending on your setup.

One of the key features of these cables is the support for SBTM eARC and Dolby Vision. SBTM eARC allows for high-quality audio transmission, especially useful for immersive gaming or home theater setups. Dolby Vision support ensures vibrant and lifelike HDR content, enhancing the visual experience. If you have compatible devices, these features can further enhance your audiovisual enjoyment.

In terms of functionality, these cables perform as expected. They establish a stable and reliable connection between devices, delivering high-quality audio and video signals without any noticeable degradation. The connectors fit securely into HDMI ports, ensuring a snug and dependable connection.

While the 8K HDMI Cable 4FT 2-Pack by Stouchi offers a solid performance, it's important to consider that HDMI cables, in general, can be quite interchangeable in terms of performance, especially at shorter lengths. You may not necessarily need the latest and most expensive cables to achieve similar results. It's essential to ensure that your devices and display support the desired resolutions and features before investing in premium cables.

Overall, if you're looking for 8K HDMI cables with a slim braided design and support for HDMI 2.1 features like SBTM eARC and Dolby Vision, the 8K HDMI Cable 4FT 2-Pack by Stouchi can be a decent choice. However, keep in mind that similar results can be achieved with more affordable options, especially if your devices don't fully utilize the advanced features offered by HDMI 2.1.

I currently do not own an 8K monitor, but I have been using these Stouchi ultra thin HDMI cables for two 1080p monitors running at 60Hz and 75Hz. I haven't encountered any issues, thanks to their backward compatibility. The monitors perform at their rated capacities in terms of resolution and latency.

Occasionally, I use one cable for my 4K monitor. Now I understand why people appreciate thin cables. They make cable management much easier without sacrificing quality, especially when compared to premium thick cables.

I recently upgraded my work-from-home workstation with a Minisforum mini-PC NAB 6, capable of handling four 4K displays. If I need additional HDMI cables in the future, Stouchi will definitely be top of mind. It's a plus that the product is competitively priced without compromising on quality.
