This is a fairly decent HDMI 2.1 cable that supports a max bandwidth of 48Gbps and resolution of 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz (what's important to me at the moment since I don't have any 8K device to test it with) along with other advanced features such as Dynamic HDR, VRR, QMS, QFT, ALLM, DTS/Atmos, and so on).Btw, this does NOT have a HDMI certification hologram as it claims to have although others have reported that theirs did have one. In any case, mine doesn't have a hologram so I'm unable to verify its authenticity and that's a bit of a disappointment to say the least.The build quality for the connector is fairly decent as well as the strain relief. The plastic shell/housing itself is slightly smaller than some others in this category (i.e. ultra-thin) but they are about average (or perhaps slightly smaller) or somewhat typical in terms of dimensions in comparison to most others with similar style and design. With that being said, I do appreciate the fact that it IS smaller than some others and every little bit helps, wouldn't you say?The cable is has the old-fashioned PVC jacket that's roughly the same (or at least very similar) in diameter and thickness as many other ultra-thin cables are that I've come across, and they are extremely flexible in comparison to ordinary HDMI 2.1 cables, in terms of their ability to bend with decent bending radius (after all, they come rolled up in a plastic bag).As aforementioned, I don't have any device to test 8K@60Hz with but they do work just fine with 4K@120Hz without issues. They also pass the basic hardware wire tests to determine missing and/or incorrectly wired pairs and they all pass the tests with flying colors so that's great.≡ NoteThis is one of the relative few (not just HDMI 2.1 but HDMI cables overall) HDMI cables that has all 4 shielding wires (amongst a few other wires) present. Many and most others cheap out on those and try to shamefully pass them off as 'premium' cables. Note that I've seen several of those premium cables that do NOT have ALL the shielding pairs although they do look and feel premium on the outside with metal alloy shell and flashy prints on 'em.Shielding isn't optional and it's there for a reason (as you can easily imagine) and the least which is to ensure the immediate surrounding environment do NOT negatively impact the performance of the cable; remember that the higher the speed the more susceptible it is to interference.###≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a fairly decent ultra-thin HDMI 2.1 cable that's well-constructed and work as expected without issues. It's also very easy to work with but unfortunately it doesn't bear the official HDMI certification hologram and that's just disappointing to see. It's reasonably priced at $10 (for a 1ft ultra-thin version) for what it provides and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance.Updated: 2023.12.14I've since purchased 5 additional of these ultra-thin cables of various lengths to replace the existing bulky ones to tidy up the place.
