Even though this is best suited for a right handed mouse, it still works for a left handed person. Very precise if you need it and the RGB lighting is till enough. Works great with the SteelSeries app!!

This is my favorite mouse so far. Really like SteelSeries mice.

I've had this mouse for roughly 2 months and the scroll wheel is already faulty, misses pulses scrolling up and down, very annoying, because otherwise this mouse is really good.

Buyer beware, I would look into something else, possible something with optical switches for the scroll wheel.

EDIT: After dwelling into this further, I have opened these mice up and inspected the scroll wheel assembly, there is some grease or anti seize applied to the wheel from the factory, this runs over time and covers the contacts on the wheel, the solution is to open the mouse and clean all the grease off with contact cleaner and blow it dry. Quite a common issue, can be googled for further explanation, but for a mouse manufacturer this is an amateur mistake, where as companies like Logitech use optical scroll wheel sensors.

The entire mouse feels like a mess of ideas. They tried to do what logitech did with a safe shape except it flat out failed. Nothing feels comfortable about this mouse. Your hand instead of being allowed to shift around on its 'safe ish ergo shape' gets forced into this weird grip that doesn't feel good whatsoever. It's also sort of missleadingly on the small side of things. Gpro wireless and super light or even the kone air wireless beat this thing in every way. Unfortunate, cause it seems to be the one thing SS can't nail is a good mouse. Ironic cause that's where they started.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good gaming mouse
Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2022

I can only speak about the Prime+ wired version, this mouse has been great so far.
It has a nice firm mouse click actuation with the two top mouse buttons. That is what I prefer as I don't want to mis-click just from resting my fingers on the mouse buttons. Mine came with the braided cable and it's not stiff at all.

Coming from a G700s it's significantly lighter which takes some getting used to.

The #1 reason I purchased this mouse is because it has on-device settings that are easily changed and don't require me to install software. I can quickly set DPI, Polling frequency, Lift off distance etc without installing anything extra on my computer. It also uses optical switches for the primary mouse buttons.

I would have given Razor a shot, but I HATE their software and the fact that it auto-installs when you plug in one of their devices. This one does have a pop-up that asks if you want to install the software but you can just click No and go about your day.

Pros:
- Optical primary mouse button switches
- Simple side mouse buttons
- Good overall feel in my hands (I have slightly bigger hands)
- Ability to control just about everything from the mouse itself

Cons:
- No infinite-scroll wheel (may not be a con if you haven't had a logitech mouse with it)
- The scroll wheel click can be triggered by pressing the scroll wheel to the right (not sure if feature or just slop. Hasn't affected me in the least bit but could for someone else.)
The
-The mouse feet are just ok.

Other thoughts:
I turned off the lift-off detector. While it is good and works, unless you're using a flat mouse pad (like the plastic low-friction ones) this feature is hit and miss. I use a fabric one with a little cushion on the underside and there is a miniscule detent in the mouse area that the mouse will detect as lift off when I go across it. Turning the lift-off option off hasn't affected my gaming at all as I was already used to normal mouse lifting from the G700s. The mouse body quality seems avg. But when I messed with just about all of the mice at MicroCenter this was true of almost all of them. Short of going into the $139+ range where some of the mice would be textured with a rubberish coating. If you're a really sweaty player this might have an impact on you. It hasn't had any impact at all on me.

This review was done a few days after getting and using the mouse. I will update if any issues come up after a few months of daily use.

**** One month update ****
Well it's be a month of using this as my daily driver mouse for both work and gaming. About 12 hours a day of use 6 days a week. And my original review still holds the same. It's a great mouse. All the action buttons still work find. I've gotten used to the side button locations. The middle mouse(scroll wheel) click is still firm, but that doesn't bother me at all. I haven't had any miss-clicks or double clicks. I still haven't had any reason to install the software for this mouse. Being able to make adjustments from the menu on the bottom of the mouse is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outlasted every other mouse I've owned
Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2024

This has held up better than every other mouse I've owned over a few decades. Tracking works well over many surfaces, it seems to work best on Corsair mousemats for me. It is a somewhat large and heavier mouse; better for people with larger hands or longer fingers. It is comfortable to me. On mouse settings are a little awkward, but still useful. Software control is excellent, and can be tuned and stored to the mouse firmware; eliminating the need to keep it running in the background. You can set it up, store settings to the mouse and uninstall the software if you wish; and still retain your settings after power off.

DPI switching on device cannot be done without flipping it over since controls are on the bottom. Mousewheel is alright, but relies on mechanical tracking that is prone to failure and accuracy issues as it wears. Mousewheel click isn't too hard and responds well to input.

1.0 out of 5 stars Average Tracking, Small in Hand, Not Durable
Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2022

Bought this to replace my beloved SteelSeries Rival 300. It isn't a bad mouse, but I'm not seeing the hype. The feel of the main two buttons is crisp, the middle button is pretty good but mismatched from the main buttons, and the side buttons aren't nearly large or tactile enough. Tracking seems extremely average. I had to totally turn off Liftoff detection for it to work at *all*. Even after fiddling with CPIs for two days, it seems slow sometimes and jumpy sometimes. I think it really, really wants a perfect mousing surface and won't work at all on rough, uneven, or oddly textured surfaces (like my wood-top desk). The built-in config via buttons on the bottom is *amazing*. My biggest issue, though, is that it is much too small for my small-ish hands. Side by side with the Rival 300 it looks tiny, though this wasn't at all obvious from product photos.

Update: the scroll wheel has started failing after just 6 months. I wouldn't trust this to be reliable at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars The reviews aren't even for the right mouse, Prime+ mouse is terrible.

Ok well first of all when you click on the SteelSeries Prime+ reviews it shows you Rival 600 reviews. So you actually can't review the SteelSeries Prime+ apparently. Which is good for them because this mouse is terrible. When you drag the mouse the sides scrape on your mouse pad and make for a bad feel and sound constantly. Never buying a SteelSeries product again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Gaming Mouse - Finally!
Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2022

I've been on the hunt for a new gaming mouse to replace my prior mouse (became a bit deformed after years of use and alcohol cleaning - G403, non-hero). I wasn't sure I wanted to go with a mainstream brand, after the troubles I've had with other vendors, so I've tried out a few. Zowie (excellent), Glorious (poor quality), and now SteelSeries (mainstream, but fantastic).

The ergonomic shape may take an hour or two for adjustment, but once you've adjusted it fits like a glove. The mouse feels extremely sturdy - grips with no flex (looking at you, Glorious) and the clicks are tight and feel solid. The clicks are on the noisey side, but nothing distracting. The bottom-of-the-mouse config is cool, although, you need to upload an image file if you want to customize it: you can't type in text and have it display. This is all done through SteelSeries GG, which is a cool application (a little bloat but you can disable it so I give it a pass). If you don't want to use GG you can configure the mouse on the bottom using the button and display.

Did I mention how sturdy this thing feels? At first I was surprised, I thought it must weigh 10g more than my prior mice, but low and behold, it somehow weighs within 2g. The paracord cable is a little sturdier than Zowie or Glorious, but not so hard it'll snag. Glides along my aluminum mouse pad like a dream.

All in all I'd call this mouse perfect. The ONE flaw I've found, is that scrolling up makes a bit of an odd noise, hence the 4-star review. I had a similar sound come out of an Intellimouse, and that never gave me issues, so I'm pretty certain we are good on this one. I'd describe it as a noise issue, not a quality issue, as I never have any misfires or wobble.

If you're on the hunt for a good gaming mouse this bad boy is it, assuming you don't mind a wired mouse. I'm a dude on the hunt for something to play with and this ticks all the boxes. My Zowie was a little small, Glorious the quality was awful, but this simple beast rocks socks. Highly recommended.
