I've had a fender acoustic bass and a fender fretless jazz bass that I sold 10 yrs ago. This squire bass was purchased so I could get back into playing. It plays as easily and sounds just as good as they did. The volume and tone controls are not as good a quality as my other guitars but for the price it is not bad. The guitar comes already strung with bronze strings and besides the guitar, the kit contains a Fender Rumble 15 amp, cable, strap and gig bag. The strap could be a bit longer for me but still works well. The cable is average quality. Overall a good kit for the price and if you want to learn bass or play with friends.

My only complaint was that the strap that comes with the bass was not a very good one, so I bought a better one but, other than that, I couldn't be more pleased with it.
