I bought this on a whim prior to a trip. I knew I was going to use my phone for entertainment on a 4-hour flight, and holding my phone on the tray always sucks. With this, I was able to easily attach it to the seat in front of me (the spring mechanism that holds it in place is VERY firm - it's not going to fall off), and then magsafe to attach my phone. No wobbles, it worked perfectly. I even had a couple people ask what it was - partially because I was on a flight that had no screens on the back of the seats.

If there's one problem, it's that it could be a little more adjustable. Or shorter. When attached to the seat in front of me, and the phone locked into place, my phone was actually slightly too close to my face. This is as much a function of the teeny room you get in the economy cabin of an airline these days, but a company making a device like this should know that. I'd recommend one more pivot point so that it could be turned upwards a bit more.

Normally Spigen products are great quality, but not sure about this one. The plastic piece that acts as a hinge cracked and broke the first time I used it on a flight.

Before it broke I noticed it was kind of loose and flimsy under the weight of an iPhone 13.

It was too thick to clip on the tray when closed, but luckily on the Wesjet 737-800 it was possible to clip it above the tray.

Even if it survived its first use, I don’t think I would have bought this given its limited functionality.

Product pictured attaching to the tray table in the closed position but found that the product was too thick to fit in the gap. The product does not work well as a regular stand without clamping onto anything. Magnet was very strong though.

I've used this on many flights with trays of different sizes and configurations, this product worked perfectly every time. Although it does take quite a bit of force to get on those double sized trays (the ones that have an extra fold). It also works really well as a phone stand if you want to clip it to the edge of a table or something. That's an awkward position to really be useful for me, but if you have something like a wooden ledge to prop up your monitors, this would fit perfectly.

1st the keychain attachment point should be removable. If you don’t use it just sticks out obnoxiously.
2nd the back side should have some no slip rubber so it be more effective as a kickstand on a flat surface. On a flight if I’m using my tray table for a drink I can’t clamp it on the closed table, so I use it as a kickstand but the smooth plastic just slides around everywhere.
Other than that it’s great & I still fly with it!

It is great that is MagSafe which it doesn’t affect the buttons or the screen while watching like others, but magnets are not that strong as expected, the iPhone can fall quite easily, it would be better if you could rotate the magsafe 360 degrees (you cannot rotate the iPhone because the bump camera, so there is just 2 positions fully straight) it can happen that the tray table is not fully flat and the phone is not aligned as you would feel comfortable to watch, and last thing, the clamp in my opinion is not that strong either. Next generation should be with everything stronger and the capability to rotate in many more ways.
