I ordered these before the start of the 22-23 school year. One of these sharpeners survived in the backpack for most of the school year before it broke. The next one survived all the way through to the end of the 23-34 school year. The ones being used at home broke somewhat earlier, but they get rougher treatment, oddly enough.

As a pencil sharpener they function just fine, but the little lids to open the ends (small lid on the sharpener end, large lid on the shavings emptying end) were a little problematic. I don't think one ever opened on its own in the backpack, but we had several shavings explosions when it came time to open/empty them.
