About the Author

Becky Rasmussen was born and raised in rural Minnesota and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She has spent most of her life involved in outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and traveling. She enjoys cooking for her friends and family, both in the kitchen and around the campfire. As a camp counselor and seasonal park employee, she has spent many years helping adults and children learn to enjoy and explore the outdoors.

I love this little book. Even if I never actually planned to use the "recipes" the book fun to peruse.
Each s'mores variation is simply written, with ingredients, prep work, and "building instructions" included.
The book even provides a humorous toasting guide, for those who need directions on how to toast a marshmallow.

Kids will love all these sweet new ways to build a s'more.
A few gotta-tries are Marshmallow-a-Holic S'mores, involving marshmallow creme, Spring S'mores, involving Peeps, and Halloween S'mores involving, you guessed it, candy corn.

There are even recipes for Adult s'mores included. These use booze flavored vanilla frosting instead of a chocolate bar.
Or how about one with limoncello and cream cheese?
For a celebratory occasion: Strawberry Cream Cheese and Champagne S'mores. (The champagne is served on the side.)

Also included:
Alternative Heat Sources and a section for you to add your own recipes, using the book's format.

This book would make a fun gift basket along with skewers having humorous handles, the three basic ingredients, and another couple of ingredients to build the s'mores.

I ordered this as part of a birthday gift for my best friend who is absolutely addicted to S'mores. I purchased this along with a S'more maker and she said it was by far the coolest gift she received.
It offers recipes that replace the chocolate, and others that replace the graham cracker - great ideas for a S'more lover.
The book itself is smaller than I imagined, not that it matters. I was just surprised when I opened the package and saw how little it was... but I actually think it's better that way.
It also features ideas for holiday s'mores and a section in the back where you can write down your own recipe.
It would be a great gift for people of all ages.
