I bought two of these for Father's Day this year, one I sent straight to my Dad (USA), and one I had delivered to my house for him to use when he visits me in Canada.

Since I do not play guitar I had no way to find out that the one shipped to my home in Canada was defective until he arrived to use it in late July (eight days past the return window closed).

This is a great tuner, and I am immediately ordering another one to replace the defective one. Amazon returns did provide a $15 discount credit to put towards a new unit, and it wasn't very expensive, this is just a heads-up for non-playing gift-givers to be careful of when you're purchasing in case an exchange is needed.

I try to believe it’s perfect but it’s not
I still have a hard time getting to the proper tuned note after months of using this item
Instructions say after each note to deaden the strings
Yeah might work that way, but it also is more functional to hit the string as tuning and zero in on the proper tune note, but then I make voice around.
Hope you can see what i mean
Also I have higher quality guitars and strings so it’s none equipment or operator

El Snark marca una diferencia en como afinas tu instrumento. Quizá no sea tan útil para trabajos de entonación fina del instrumento, ya que la pantalla no te muestra las centésimas de Hz, pero para afinar rápidamente -al vuelo- sin tener que conectar ningún cable y con el volumen en 0 es excelente. La pequeña pantalla LCD a color es fácilmente visible y la pinza la puedes colocar donde consideres apropiado y se transmita la vibración de las cuerdas. Rápido, preciso y económico.
