Prices for real HP ink is a scam if you can get these for a fraction of the price. I bought the colour + black XL set and both were easily recognized by my printer (I have an HP Deskjet 2548). Unfortunately, the black ink seemed to be dried up and no tricks were working to get that one fixed. I spoke with customer support (Thanks Valerie!) and told them the issue and they promised to send out a new full set for free on expedited delivery. I'll update this once I get the new ink :)
Edit: Got the new ink the next morning, works beautifully now!

I have an older model printer but it works great. I have used remanufactured cartridges for years and only had problems a few times. In fact I didn't think the last black cartridge would ever run out. With that said I ordered a black an color from Smart ink and did have problems with them. I contacted customer support and received an answer almost immediately. They walked me through the steps to get the printer working but it wouldn't work. They immediately sent me 2 new cartridges and I received them about an hour ago. I put them in and they worked beautifully. I really can't say enough about the help I got. The communication was excellent and they kept at it until the problem was solved. This is how a business should be run. I recommend them highly and they get 5 stars from me.

I recently purchase 61xl black & 61xl color cartridges. The color one worked fine, but the black one was not recognized by my HP3510 printer. I chatted online with the Smart Ink customer service rep. She had me try the normal troubleshooting for cartridges which did not work. She then transitioned to order me not only a new black but also a new color cartridge. I also did not have to go through the hassle of returning the original cartridges. She expedited the order and in 2 days I will receive the new cartridges. Very painless and I should be up and running with my printer in 2 days!

Here's update. Just rec'd the color and black cartridges. Tried the black one and had no trouble this time. I'm very happy now. Price was good and I can rely on customer service if there are any issues.
