Upon taking the folded softbox out of the soft bag, I enjoyed the fact that it was already 80% assembled and the supporting rods held together a velcro strap. When releasing the velcro strap, the rods fan out a bit. Pulling the grey handle tightly opens up the rods into a full 39" octagon, locking into two metal clips. After installing the inner diffusion cloth with velcro taps on the inside, outer diffusion cloth with full velcro along the perimeter, and then the velcro grid, you're up and ready to shoot all within 5 minutes. Everything is of good quality considering the $80 price.
Keep in mind that while the grid directs light and prevents light spill, it cuts down light about a stop. Attached are pictures with the grid and without, both with both diffusion layers installed and a Ulanzi 60W light shooting through at 5600K at 100% power.
Overall, this is a great softbox that pops up fast and provides a quality soft and large diffusion for a key light.

Lo mejor de este tipo de ventanas de uso rpaido es que segun los sacas de la bolsa blanda, ya estan casi listos para trabajar... Las varillas de soporte se quedan unidas por correa y velcro. Al soltar la correa de velcro, las varillas se abren un poco. Al tirar firmemente de la empuñadura gris, las varillas forman un octa al completo que puedes anclar sin mas. Luego puedes o no añadir la tela difusora interior (con tiras) o exterior con velcro tambien pero completo a lo largo del perímetro, vamos lo habitual. Viene hasta con una rejilla o grid que tambien puedes añadir por velcro.
Me encantan estos accesorios rapidos y de calidad media alta, no es un accesorio premium pero desde luego te ayuda en el dia a dia y es economico, muy economico.

Haaa smallrig quand tu nous tien !
Une softbox très bien pensée et d’une très belle fabrication qui, de plus, est efficace 😊
Cette softbox est très simple et pratique à mettre en place, une petite tirette permet de retirer l’anneau d’assemblage.
On met l’anneau sur le projecteur et ensuite on vient clipser la softbox.
Pour la déployer il suffit de tirer là languette grise qui sert à déployer la softbox et de la verrouiller quand elle atteint les deux clips de verrouillage.
Pour la replier il suffit de serrer les deux clips métalliques et la softbox se replie !!! Magic 😊
Je l’ai utilisé avec un projecteur de 200 Watt, la réflexion et la diffusion de la lumière est parfaite.
La softbox est fournie avec 2 diffuseurs et une grilles le tout avec un sac de transport.
