Product description

THE BEST POST-WORKOUT PROTEIN When you exercise, your body requires more protein to help your muscles recover and develop. Six Star 100% Whey Protein Plus supplies your body with a mega-dose of fast-absorbing whey protein to address that demand. When digested, protein is broken down into amino acids (the building blocks of muscle), which proceed to repair muscle tissue and promote growth. Six Star 100% Whey Protein Plus is also enhanced with creatine, a scientifically proven muscle and strength builder. Creatine promotes the replenishment of your body’s energy stores, thus further accelerating muscle recovery.

Good value protein powder
4 Stars
Good value protein powder
Sixstar provides good value for this protein powder. The scoop provided is larger than other powders, so the "30g per scoop" is misleading, if you're comparing to other whey products, which are normally 24g per scoop. Hilarious for them to make their scoop bigger, great marketing scheme.Taste is a 7/10 - not overly sweet which is great, but it does have a bit of a chemical taste in comparison to other more expensive brands. For the sake of comparison, I would rate Diesel, Optimum, and Isoflex as better tasting protein powders, and Revolution Nutrition just slightly better tasting (more sweet, however). All of these brands are more expensive, and the flavour of Sixstar is acceptable.Digestibility is 10/10 - no issues whatsoever with stomach/gut irritability at the recommended dose. If you are switching to this product from another brand, I would ease into it, just to make sure.Mixability is also great- 10/10 in a blender with frozen fruit/yogurt/water. The powder appears fluffy and gritty, however it has no issues being mixed. It also provides a slightly thick shake, with no clumping or grittiness.Overall, I would rate this just slightly below Revolution Nutrition's product. Completely acceptable for supplementing protein, and at a very nice price. Thanks Sixstar and Amazon!!

I got the double chocolate flavour. I was using another brand, Premiere Protein, for well over a year, but it honestly tasted like dollar store cocao powder. There was only so long I could tolerate it. 6 Star brand has a much nicer tastes than Premiere Protein. It's thicker and a little bit more chocolatey than the other brands I've had, except Vega but their chocolate shake is unique and a whole other story). 6 Star is also less sweet than Premiere Protein, but that's a bonus for me because I found Premier Protein much too sweet to have more than half a scoop at a time (which was only a modest 7.5g of protein). I add half a scoop to my coffee in the morning, with colligen and a bunch of other things and milk to make it into a nutritional shake. 6 Star isn't overpowering at all. It gives my coffee a great mocha taste. I can even add more to the coffee because it is not as sweet and dollarstore cocoa tasting as Premier Protein. So I went from having less than 10g of protein powder in my coffee each morning to having 15 to 20g without it being unsatisfying. It also melts much nicer in warm liquid. I do mix all drys, then add warm water to make it syrup, which I then add coffee. Might sound gross but you can add all kinds of healthy things to make an ordinary morning coffee into a protein shake. 6 Star can clump but usually melts after a very short while, compared to premier protein which just clumped and became little gel balls in my coffee. Premiere Protein required a lot more work in that morning concoction, usually with a fork or whisk. 6 Star is just a mildly vigiourous stir with some warm liquid, and done--no fork, no whisk; sometimes I only use a straw. Overall, I'm pleased. I got a larger container that was actually filled, compared to the half full container from Premiere Protein, which made no sense. And it also costs less by the gram, which is always great. The amount of powder ratio to protein is the same as Premiere Protein, but they use different sized scoops, 15g of protein per scoop for Premier and 30g for 6 Star. I compared by using the smaller Premiere Protein scoop to fill the larger scoop and it was exactly 2x, so the amount of power I am ingesting is the same for both brands. 6 Star is also less sticky than Premiere Protein, of which I am a huge fan--super annoying in the morning having protein dust wafting out of my mug and making everything super sticky. 6 star just wipes up easy, it's not stuck on the moment it makes contact with something else. All around, a better product. This also comes with bonus vitamin D and zinc, which I'm always short. Premiere Protein is more convenient to buy at the grocery store for sure but amazon actually delivered it the same day, which surprised me a lot--it was waiting at home for me before I even got there.

I’ve been using this whey protein powder for a while now, and it’s become a staple in my routine. The chocolate flavor is sweet but not overpowering, making it really easy to mix with other things. I love adding it to my peanut butter powder and yogurt for a tasty and protein-packed snack. It blends smoothly and doesn’t have that weird aftertaste some other powders do. Great for anyone looking to boost their protein intake without sacrificing flavor. Highly recommend!

Edited-

Second Review #2: So far I have tried strawberry smoothie, vanilla, and triple chocolate.
The mixing of all of them is different but most of the ones I've tried fully mix with barely any chunks.
Strawberry smoothie tastes good, and mixes well.
Vanilla takes some time getting use to.. the first taste of it is odd but after that its bearable, mixes well.
Double chocolate tastes the best and easiest to drink, but out of all these I have tried it mixes the worst and little pieces don't dissolve right away.
But right now triple chocolate is my favorite even with this flaw .

First Review #1: I took advice from someone to mix the scoop in hot water first, "to get it all to dissolve and mix 'well' before adding milk..." DONT do that. It turned chunkier and had turned the powder into hard little chunks that wouldn't combine once the milk was added. It's best done as it says, mix with milk and only milk, regular temp. I'll learn from my mistakes.. I picked strawberry smoothie, which does taste exactly like a strawberry smoothie.. In my opinion, this is the best protein powder for affordability and I am surprised how great it is for the cost. Other brands cost nearly a bar of silver! I will be buying it again and experiment with the other flavors!

Good item, mix well, just a little bit on the sweet side for my taste but I use it with unsweetened almond or soy milk than it actually tastes ok.

Low price, high protein. Tastes good (not great) If you’re okay with maltodextrin and sucralose, go for it. Personally I’m going without the processed stuff but this is good for the price.

The product is actually really good and affordable, it offers a good way to reach your protein goals of the day.
Th reason I give it 4/5 is that as you get used to it the taste gets kind of weird.
