Sharp, contrast, autofocus - all are very good!
"A bit odd" focal length of 30mm actually works perfectly for me, 44mm equiv is "Just a bit wider that 50"
35 mm or even 33 would be too tight

A recommended lens. Nice 45mm equivalent on a Fuji crop sensor view. Focus seems quiet and accurate with eye focus etc. Build quality is plasticity but of good quality, no complaints. Does have a gasket seal on the mount. F1.4 is very nice to have even though it shows chromatic abbreviation in certain high contrast situations, but step down to about f2 and it goes away. Pretty normal with lenses like this. Sharp even on my 40 megapixel XH2 down to f1.4, I see no issues, slight softness in corners but of no real concerns unless you take photos of brick walls. Excellent value for what you get and deserves a place in your camera bag. Of the three sigma primes 16mm, 30mm, 56mm, the 30mm seems the least liked one from youtuber’s reviews. If thats the caseu I guess I need the others for sure! My lens came used even though I bought a new one. No plastic on lens and it took a beating in the box and someone left his uv filter on the front. No damage on lens after I cleaned it up. Someone put a seal on the box to make you think it was new. 123 E… sold through Amazon prime.
