Only been less than 24 hrs since I got it but it’s been great so far. I’m no pro photographer but this is top level. I thought the lens I had before was good (lens kit 16-50mm a6000) but this is way better and I can totally see the difference. The automatic lighting is immaculate chefs kiss. Included 2 pics of my cats. Skinny face is 16-50mm and fat face is 30mm

What a great little lens!
I don't think you will find another lens at this price range that gives you the IQ, and the lightweight and compact size that makes balancing on a gimbal a breeze, quiet and fast AF.
It's great for video as well, AF is quiet and accurate, but can't use follow focus in MF mode due to the rotation ratio, depends on the type of camera operator you are, this can be significant or nothing at all. I don't have an issue with AF noise being picked up by the in-camera mic.
Highly recommend this lens even if you don't need one.

This 30mm 1.4 lens is a 45mm (f2.1) full-frame equivalent, so it definitely excels in low-light scenes and subject separation for portraits.
Paired with a compact APS-C body, this Sigma lens is also reasonably compact for travel purposes.
One thing I wish it did have was OSS, but for the price, it does everything else exceptionally well.
