Good quality remote with easy to understand operation. Batteries are not included, so you will need 4 AAA, for the remote and receiver. I have a FUJI XH2, and the included cable will NOT fit. I expected this, and I expect that most FUJI owners know the drill. You will need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable for this to work. The camera end is 2.5mm, and the receiver is 3.5mm. length is up to you, but I went with a 12"

I bought this shutter control and it arrived in a day. I set up the receiver and plugged it into the camera. The light was blinking and the backlit and changing channels worked fine.
However the transmitter would not even turn on so I could not test it. No choice but return it tomorrow.
While the receiver was plugged in and turned on I tested the functions on the back of the camera and all worked just fine. I could change the focus point, view the photos etc. with no problem. My camera is Nikon D5200. I didn't have any of the problems that writer B had. Also if you insert it into the hot shoe, it's a bit tight but give it a little push and in she goes. For sure, will not fall off. On the top of that you can still tighten it with the rotaiting knob to make absolutely sure.
I have a small clip for the hot shoe cover on my camera strap so I can use that one to hold the receiver and that will leave the hot shoe free for external flash in needed.

I will have to learn all the features, but for a weird reason, I was not able to use brackets when the receiver is mounted on the hot shoe.
Camera (Canon M6) thinks I have a flash and refuse to fire bracketed shots.
However, if I leave the receiver hanging by the wire, it works fine.

I spent several days pet sitting for my daughter while she was giving birth. Set camera up on a tripod outside the kitchen French doors aimed at their bird feeder. Sat at the kitchen island and when a bird I wanted to photograph visited the feeder I just pushed the transmitter button and got the shot-about 300 over four days. Also have used it for tripod mounted macro shots. Works great, definitely recommend.
