I like the fact that there is a hole in the middle to help with breathing and talking. Other mouthguards I had in the past made it hard to breath/swallow/speak but it seems this one has a much better conception. Easy to mold and re-mold if necessary and it stays in place and does a good job to protect your jaw. I've been told Shock doctor provides a dental warranty with all their mouthguards but I couldn't find the details... But if so, it is definitely an added value. The only negative point is that it does feel very bulky in my mouth.

Had I done the process to have it fit in my mouth, it might’ve turned out well. It could’ve been better but that was my fault for not giving it a chance to succeed.

My old Under Armour mouthguard disappeared and I obviously needed a replacement. I thought I would try this one out....boy do I regret that! Package arrived super quick and the molding process is easy if you follow the instructions. But when I pressed my lips into the mouthguard as per the instructions...it molded, but when I took it out - my gums were bleeding. Very uncomfortable, will likely never wear and since it's out of the package, can't return.

It's important to follow the molding instructions (water soaking time is critical). The first time I thought I could short-time it and wound up molding only part of the retainer. It is also important to note, although this is a great protective mouthguard, it is not the same as customized guards from your dentist. For these, there is a lot of strain on your back teeth. I only wear it to workout in the gym. After about 1-2 hours my jaws started to fatigue.
