- 8,200 Pa Suction for a Deeper Clean - Don’t sacrifice cleanliness for convenience. Freo X Ultra is a robot vacuum with suction so powerful it leaves hard floors and carpets spotless. Chips, fur, cereal, dust, and debris don’t stand a chance—even when buried in deep carpet.
- Zero Tangling Brush - A revolutionary innovation that holds a conical cleaning brush on a single floating arm. Instead of getting trapped, hair and pet fur are passed directly into the dust bag. SGS and TÜV certified, Freo X Ultra has a 0% tangle rate with 99.5% of hair getting instantly removed.
- Mops Until Shining - Patented Rouleaux robot mop heads leave no gaps and press down with 12N and spin at 180RPM to scrub away stubborn stains. It features AI DirtSense technology that knows when your floors are clean, and keeps scrubbing until they are. EdgeSwing Technology enables it to clean up to the edge and reach every corner of your house.
- Maintenance-Free Docking Station - The included base station is a fully equipped hands-free maintenance center. It automatically washes, dries, and refills the mops with detergent and water. Then it cleans and dries itself and offers easy control of Freo X Ultra’s robot vacuum and mop functions.
- Self-Contained Dust Processing - Ordinary robot cleaners self-empty their dust into their base station—a noisy and messy process. Freo X Ultra has a built-in system that compresses the dust for 7 weeks of maintenance-free cleaning with a disposable dust bag for effortless and clean disposal (collecting into a standard dust bin is also available).
- Tri-Laser Obstacle Avoidance - Paired with industry-leading mapping technology, Freo X Ultra avoids even small and low-lying objects thanks to millimeter-precision lasers. It uses side sensors to hug obstacles and clean up to the edge.

This attractive and well designed product is the best one I’ve owned and it works perfectly.
Narwal will doubtless be sending out OTA updates to make it even better. The thing is, it is really hard for me to find any fault with this product that is an improvement over its predecessor.
With it able to work perfectly in fully automatic A.I. Freo Mind mode, it makes use of numerous sensors to detect and correctly react to dirt or spills in the most appropriate manner. If you want to make use of various settings yourself to modify the system, you will find the app provides you with vast control.
Point is, the mopping pads are able to adjust pressure on the floor depending upon the surface. A little less downward pressure on your wooden floors versus your tiles. Those pads are kept clean and wet with prompt and effective washing with clean fresh water in the handsomely designed base. Detergent that is child and pet safe is automatically added to the water.
When the cleaning job completes they are washed and dried with heated air. The washing tray is easy to remove and clean yourself as you should do every couple of weeks or so. The system is designed for maximizing cleaning performance, with no fiddly easy to fail mechanical washing methods.
I also am so very pleased that with this powerful capable vacuum and mop to find out that it is amazingly quiet.
A very large dustbin is made more efficient by the compression of the contained contents and disinfected and air drying to prevent any moisture from leading to bacterial growth and smells. The solution is in sync with the ability to handle potentially a longer, dump with a possible 7 weeks needed before tossing the expanding disposal filter bags/cartridges or you can use the included 1 litre more conventional dustbin with a washable filter. I have only used the newer disposal bins thus far and I am very happy to say they work as advertised.
If you’re someone who has a few kids and several pets, you may have more frequently emptying and the easiest to empty conventional dust bin may be the way you end up going. Take note though that you are able to buy third parties filters and parts that are very cost effective. The Narwal Freo is a great machine that has been a success around the world, so no shortage of consumables are available for your long term enjoyment of this machine.
It is an easy to setup product that you can trust to make your home as clean as possible and even do this while the family sleeps as it is so quiet and doesn’t have a super loud dirt handling solution that is subject to possibly clogging up with potentially damp dirt and dust.
On so many levels, this mopping vacuum is a step above. I am very glad that I took the plunge and went with Narwal who have gone above and beyond in designing a super capable and easy to live with device to make your home better.
Highly recommended.
The typical older gen of robovacs did the mopping by getting a cloth wet and pushing it around, this one does it by soaking it in cleaning solution + spinning. It makes a huge difference for anyone with tile or LVP, it can actually clean up stains/spills rather than push it around. Plus it does heated drying for the mopping pads!!
Navigation and vacuuming is top notch as well, no complaints there except that it does still get stuck in tricky spots like any other robovac — maybe future updates can solve that. It gets closer to the corners than my roborock for sure though, and seems to have the same/better suction.
Biggest thing though: tangle-free brush!! Wow, I can't believe someone actually figured it out and now we dont have to manually cut out hair from the brush every few weeks.
Some potential issues:
- The app is not the best. Once you are in, the configuration is simple and easy to understand, but getting the robot connected to your wifi may be a big hassle since it only supports 2.4ghz wifi. Plus no local connectivity option....
- Smart home options are basically just alexa which is dissapointing. I would love to see some basic IOT support or local API options, come on guys, it's 2024.
- The dust bin bag option is nice, it does compact dust quite well and lasts me a few months. But if you have a large home with a lot of pets, I still think an auto empty dust bin is a better option. It does come with a bin without the bag option though in case you want to manually empty it yourself every few weeks rather than buy the bags.

I think it is important to address that this is a high-end product with an expensive price tag. That was the hardest thing for me to justify when purchasing it. However, I believe in robot vacuums and mops, you get what you pay for. This product is clearly one of the best and does an exceptional job cleaning floors. I am one of those people that does extensive research and reading prior to (big) purchases. After all my reading and research, particularly of real world experiences that were not sponsored, I came to the conclusion that the Freo X Ultra was the right robot vacuum/mop for our house. So far I have not been let down and highly recommend this device!

Assembly and Usability
Setting up the Narwal Ultra X was a breeze. The water tanks and filters are conveniently accessible and simple to replace, a significant improvement over many other models on the market. As someone who has struggled with the poor battery life of an older iRobot model, I found the Narwal Ultra X to be a game-changer. Its unique features and reliable performance place it in a league of its own.
App Experience
The initial app syncing and connection process was a bit cumbersome. The app could be clearer about the sequence of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections, which took longer than expected. Once set up, however, the app’s clean design was pleasing. One improvement I’d suggest is allowing the app to use the system's default font size and adhere to the light/dark mode settings. Additionally, adding a security feature such as Face ID to lock the app would provide peace of mind. I’m uncomfortable with any device accessing my home router without adequate security controls.
Performance and Features
The Narwal Ultra X’s performance is where it truly shines. After mapping my house, which features hardwood flooring and several area rugs, I tested it with both vacuuming and mopping. The vacuum noise level is comparable to my old iRobot, but the Narwal Ultra X boasts much higher suction power. It handled long hairs on the floor effortlessly, a particularly impressive feature.
This was my first experience with a robot mop, and I was amazed by its cleaning power. It performed on par with the steam mop I typically use, significantly reducing the amount of manual labor required. The floor detergent that comes with it has a refreshing lemon scent, adding to the overall cleaning experience.
Innovation and Daily Use
Combining a vacuum and mop in a single unit is innovative, especially for someone like me who is new to such advanced robotic cleaning solutions. While robot vacuums are common and robot mops are available, the Narwal Ultra X’s integration of both functions in one device is impressive. Despite the slightly cumbersome product name, the Narwal Ultra X certainly nails it in terms of functionality and convenience.
I plan to let the Narwal Ultra X automatically run daily to maintain my floors. After longer use, I may update this review to provide further insights into its performance and durability.
Overall, the Narwal Ultra X is a fantastic addition to any home. It offers efficient cleaning and impressive design features that make it a worthwhile investment. To keep the cost down, you just need to buy it when it is on sale.

Context: I have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a wife who all shed a lot, and with my OCD, it’s been a losing battle, I tell you! But now, I've finally found hope—apparently, there’s a vacuum out there that can tackle fur and sanity in one go!
Anyone who owns an upright cordless vacuum/mop cleaner knows they need regular maintenance themselves. Sure, they work as advertised, but considering the fur-pocalypse I mentioned earlier, it takes at least two passes a day to keep my sanity levels in check. And let’s be honest, ain’t nobody got time for that!
I personally have a Dyson V11, a Tineco S5 Pro, and a couple of Black and Decker handheld vacuums, so you know I mean business. The only thing missing was a robo-vacuum. Unfortunately, the current offerings of robo-vacuums in India are like high-maintenance pets—cute but constantly needing attention. Then Narwal came along and finally cleaned up their act and offered the latest and greatest at the same price as their American counterparts.
Pros:
- Quick lidar/mapping
- Stellar app with extensive customization/scheduling options
- You have complete control over the type of cleaning you want and when and where you want it
- Self-cleaning/drying of the mop head and it’s damn quiet
- Minimal maintenance required on the base station, looking at you, T20 Omni
- Excellent vacuuming capabilities and above-average mopping
- M*****F****ing Anti Hair Tangle Brush Roller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Big enough dust/hair storage onboard to last a couple of weeks
- Scented floor cleaner solution that auto-applies and smells good!
- Huge dirty/clean water tanks
Cons:
- Lidar issues with low-level objects like wires, etc.
- Issues with light carpets/mats where on some occasions the vacuum might struggle (tape them down)
- Expensive (subjective) disposable bags, but they do provide reusable plastic bins
Final Notes:
With 3 + 1 shedding animals in the household, the disposable dust bags/bins can last for 2-3 weeks based on my usage. It will cost ₹300/piece via official channels and cheaper for knock-offs. I am going for minimal maintenance here, people, but you can always use the reusable plastic bins.
If you want optimal cleaning and have a lot of objects lying about on the floor, you will still have to put them aside on higher ground so that there is maximum coverage; otherwise, Freo will navigate around it. While the Lidar sensor(s) work as intended except for very low-level objects, there will be some initial effort required from your end to ensure everything is spick and span.
You will have to adjust your home and furniture in some instances to ensure cleaning is optimal and you have maximum coverage.
Finally, this is not an easily affordable device, but for what it’s worth compared to other high-end robo vacuums in the Indian market, this is the best and latest tech that money can buy since all the other high-end vacuums are a generation or two behind and there are updated models available in EU/US markets. So again, if you want peace of mind and a robo vacuum that requires minimal assistance/maintenance and works exceptionally well, this is the device for you at this moment.

First Impressions: I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of the machine and couldn't wait to put it to the test. Upon unboxing, the setup was straightforward, and the initial mapping of my home was impressively accurate. It immediately showed promise with its detailed navigation and mapping capabilities. One onte, you need to use 2.4G hz frequency wifi. The battery holds up quite well.
Cleaning Performance: The suction power of 8200 Pa is incredible, picking up tiny dusts and food residues easiely. The advanced sensors detect dirt accurately and ensure thorough cleaning, even focusing on soiled areas until they are spotless.
Mopping Functionality: The mopping feature is equally great. It applies significant pressure to clean effectively, tackles spills and stains with ease. Moreoever, the design of path leaves no area untouched.
Navigation and Mapping: The navigation system is highly effective. During the initial mapping, the robot meticulously mapped out my home, including all the furniture. It has never gotten stuck and navigates around obstacles. The ability to create multiple maps for different floors is a bonus.
User Interface and App: The app is user-friendly and offers extensive customization options. Watching it work via the app has become somewhat addicting. It's fascinating to monitor its progress and see how it adapts to different cleaning challenges in real-time.
Quiet Operation: One of the most notable aspects is how much quieter the Narwal Freo X Ultra is compared to traditional vacuum cleaners like my Dyson. While the Dyson sounds like a jet engine, the Freo X Ultra goes about its business quietly, even during intense cleaning sessions. This makes it ideal for running in the night time.
I highly recommend the Narwal Freo X Ultra to anyone looking for a top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop.
![](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/S/amazon-avatars-global/default._CR0,0,1024,1024_SX48_.png)
1. Most importantly, it REALLY CLEANS, especially the mopping function. It notes a soiled area, increases the cleaning strength and does additional cleaning runs in that area until it is clean.
2. The app works FINE. Like any app, you need to use it awhile to get to know all its features. Those who write that it can’t do multiple floors— yes, you can, up to 4 maps. You can move the entire ensemble “upstairs” — or guest house, etc. OR you can carry only the robot itself—but then it can’t go “home” to wash the mop. Or, make 1 map without the base and use it for vacuuming, and another map for moving the whole kit for full service capability.
3. Easy to do a quick “ spot” cleaning in a small area that can be sized to the area for a spill etc.
4. No problem sharing the app with others. It’s an option in the drop down menu choice in settings
5. “No tangle” brush is excellent.
6. Great maneuverability with obstacle avoidance. Ok, cables are a problem but really, wouldn’t you move it out of the way if YOU were vacuuming? I can’t speak to the poop issue as I don’t have pets. This robot actually wriggles past the legs of my bar chairs ( a tight fit) to get under and clean. Ditto the dining chairs. It will notice if you moved furniture or any new area and ask to remap it.
7. Like all current robots, it can’t fit under some kitchen cabinets due to low clearance— but thanks to LIDAR (no camera) it knows which ones it can fit under and which not. It sashays to get as far as possible under but the edges under those cabinets won’t be reached even by the movable mop arms on other robots ( and moving arms are mechanical and therefore prone to breakage).
8. It takes its time but does a better job as a result. Schedule it while you sleep, wake up to clean floors. You can set the levels of cleaning and customize as you wish as well. You can vacuum/mop, vacuum then mop, vacuum alone, mop alone. Designate the whole floor, individual rooms, or several rooms or spot cleaning.
9. No, it doesn’t dump the dust into a bigger bag in the bin. So what? By all accounts other robots sound like a jet engine when dumping into the bin in the base unit. Not this robot—-it’s very quiet as it goes about its business. The disposable bags are compressed and last a long time, and there are now cheaper copycat replacements placement bags available already. Or, a small reusable dust bin is provided for the environmentally concerned.
10. The detergent is proprietary but you can reuse the empty bottle: separate the cap by inverting it and dipping the cap only into boiling water a few minutes to separate it, then fill whatever ( Bona, etc) you wish. File down the locking plastic bits inside the cap. Details on how to do this can be found via search on Reddit.
11. It’s possible to hook up to your plumbing to draw clean water and empty dirty water automatically ( usually where your washer is) so no need to fill and dispose of water, but it’s no big deal to empty and refill the large water bins. Put a little white vinegar into the empty “dirty” bin to retard bacterial growth which prevents the sewage-like smell that some report.
What’s not to love? All in all, a great device!
