The next step in mastering lighting really does seem to be having and using a light meter. I still have a lot to learn, but have already upped my game using this meter. Watch a couple of instructional videos off YouTube and you’re on your way. The size and ease of use and carry if this meter make it a good choice.

Ordered the 308X-U as shown in the description and got the 308X. The Sekonic site shows the 308X-U to be the American version, meaning it has 3 year warranty through specific retailers. The Canadian version is just the 308X, which has 1 year warranty. The products are the same otherwise.

Es hat schon was, die Belichtung manuell festzulegen und das nicht der Kamera zu überlassen. Dieser Belichtungsmesser liefert wirklich gute Ergebnisse auf Anhieb und kann mehr, als man sich davon als gebildeter Laie vorstellt. Den Video-Bereich kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich nicht filme. Schade, dass das Plastik wenig wertig wirkt, aber das tut der Funktion keinen Abbruch.
